The cooked breakfast was excellent and the first day the breakfast service was excellent. However, the second day the staff seemed to be in a bad temper and it was a less pleasant experience.
We stayed in the cottage, which was nice, butthe stairs were very steep and the sides of the bath were very high. I am quite 5 ft 3 ins and managed OK, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone any shorter, or with mobility issues.

Location, staff, room and food all great.
The only thing that annoyed me was in the bathroom. The hand-wash and hand cream dispensers were the wrong way round. The hand cream was nearest the sink, so you automatically go to use it to wash hands. A very small thing and should be easy for staff to change .

Great location. Friendly staff. Large room and very comfortable.
Dust behind the radiator in room 1. Hasn't been cleaned for hundreds of years.
