Trying to communicate with your events team beforehand about an event discount was hopeless. Too many computerised hurdles and when I did get to a human voice in the event and planning it was hopeless. At the event the staff were starting to clear the top table and take the chairs away before the official end time even though people still had their personal belongings on the table and were on the dance floor. Event was good until then which was discourteous and downright rude. Even when the staff were challenged about it they largely ignored the complaints and just carried on. It would stop me holding an event there

Comfy bed, spacious room. A friendly welcome in reception on arrival. Encountered a few problems which was disappointing as we have stayed many times before and our stays have been perfect. The plug in bath wouldn’t lift up to drain the water, the dial to control the plug was broken. The room was very hot and we couldn’t lower the temperature. Sebastian was very good and fixed all of the problems while we were out. Unfortunately it did mean that one of us didn’t have time to shower and get ready before going out for the evening. In one of the dressing gowns pockets I found a pair of earphones in a case. The dressing gown had obviously been worn before. I did report to reception that the headphones had been found. Surely it would be better to check for problems before a customer was allocated a particular room.
