Hotel Indigo Hong Kong Island by IHG

I like the location- Wan Chai market is right outside, convenient access to metro etc. Room was nice. Decent size for HK. They were able to give me a late checkout which is always appreciated.

The gym and pool area are both tiny. I know it’s HK but still… The room has all these amenities that are supposed to be nice touches but are kinda dated and need maintenance. Eg there’s and old school alarm clock- but it had run out of battery so it’s just a tchotchke sitting there. The funky looking TV speakers were constantly giving off a crack ling noise- and no way to unplug them. I put two pillows on them. The curtains never open in one go- always takes several tries. Stuff like that.

Great location, nice size room, roof top pool and bar. Well connected with transport.

The hotel was tucked away on a quieter street and close to the metro

The hotel was under renovation which we were not informed about before travelling. The reception was a temporary desk on the 2nd floor. The breakfast was very limited. The toilet had a glass surround which meant that the toilet was noisy and the seat was made of cheap plastic.
