Hotel Orion

room: cosy and tidy location: perfect, take the bus / tram and then walk ~ 4mins can arrive here, there is Erasmus MC building with study center nearby, just walk 10 mins and then you can work there. nice Cafe in this Bezirk.

the wall is not so soundproof, so i can here someone using the washroom. But the guests are very nice, so i won't get disturbed in the midnight but in the morning after 8:20

The operators of this location clearly care about making their guests comfortable during all phases of their stay - prior to checking in communication was to the point and invariably swift - inimitably Dutch. From the first moment of being in Orion's space, I understood the expectations and my privileges. Friendly and clear. At every point of interaction with staff or the property my expectations were either met or - much more often - exceeded completely. Rooms are small by American standards... but American standards are ridiculous. A room is a sanctuary, not the reason for being somewhere. It gives some spice, but mostly a warm welcome. And in this light, Hotel Orion is 100% THE place to stay near Rotterdam Centraal in this individual's opinion. If there's availability, it'll be my choice.

Absolutely everything. The hosts were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was really good especially the omelette.

Having to leave

Excellent free breakfast and Marco was very helpful in everyway.

No elevator, but that is to be expected when staying in a historic area. However, Marco carried our bags up and down the stairs.
