Saint-Eusèbe Mansion - Hôtel Particulier St-Eusèbe

This was the first thing me I had stayed at a private house. The property is beautiful. If you want the experience of a C18th town house, this it it. The room was very comfortable.

Staying in a private house! This is me and no reflection on the accommodation. I have discovered that whilst I don't like a chain I want something a little more impersonal. People also need to be aware that the centre on Auxuerre is closed whilst fibre works goes on and navigation around the town in a car is challenging. There is very limited parking but a good public car park about 5 minutes walk away.

The location was excellent being in the centre of town. The hosts were always available and able to answer any questions. Great selection available at breakfast. Nice having a swimming pool on site to use.

Some parts of the house need refreshing (such as the bathroom) and would prefer the parking to be included in the price.

Breakfast was plentiful, yet lacking help our third morning.

- [ ] Difficult check in because of language - [ ] During check in, we were shown the kitchen because we were told if we wanted something there, please feel free. It was soooo messy… - [ ] Shared bathroom - didn’t notice that fact when I booked. And I keep forgetting to bring a towel to dry my hands… - [ ] Usually bumped my head when I got in or out of bed - [ ] Didn’t find mirror in room until third evening, so had to wait to use bathroom to primp - [ ] Linens drying on all two floors of banisters and railings - [ ] Had to wear slippers, even on the stairs to the third floor, which were sloped the wrong way - [ ] Napkins were paper towels. A paper napkin should be used at least for such an elegant dining room. - [ ] The salon had a strong smell of mold in it. I have a health issue with mold so I couldn’t enjoy the room
