Loch Shiel Hotel

Most of all was the super staff. From check in through to check out. They were friendly, helpful , flexilble and fun. The bar was cosy and warm as the barman (Hugo) lit a fire and the waitress (Amy) accommodated us to eat in the bar as per our request. The dinner menu was standard fare presented with care and very tasty. All our group were very happy with their meals. The full Scottish breakfast was tasty and generous and they accommodated any wish or variation and there was more than enough to eat. The rooms were comfy, clean and enough space. Good hot drinks facilities in the room. Loads of parking. A short walk down the lane is the beautiful Loch Shiel.

Bathroom a bit small and my tall husband couldn't fit under the shower.

Great meals and friendly staff

Bed was very squeaky and uncomfortable - in the “Bothy” by default due to no lock and fresh painting in our booked room.

Lovely location. Clean, comfortable room. Great food and excellent service. Everything was perfect.

Nothing.

We liked the friendly staff and the room was a good size.

As the hotel is in a current state of renewal there are some things such as the soft furnishings and bedding that have yet to be brought up to a better standard. The ensuite was very good and the shower was excellent. The food was also of a good standard. They could do with more staff.
