Il Giramondo Suite&Room

An absolutely wonderful stay in the heart of Matera! We booked one night at Goramondo in Matera, and from the very moment we made the reservation, everything was simply perfect. Our host, Bruna, was incredibly helpful and communicative from the start. She recommended a nearby parking facility, coordinated everything we needed for our stay, and made sure we had all the information necessary for a smooth arrival. The day before our arrival, we received a detailed message with all the arrival instructions, including helpful recommendations for a restaurant for the evening, clear directions to the apartment, and the access code. Everything was exceptionally well organized and made the arrival completely effortless. And then we arrived — and realized just how excellent our choice had been! The apartment is extremely spacious, beautifully designed, comfortable and highly functional. It is located on the second floor of a very pleasant and secure building, on a quiet street just a few steps from the main street, where you will find plenty of shops, restaurants and gelaterias. The location could hardly be better. Within just a few steps, you are in the fascinating streets of the Sassi, and only a short walk from the main square and the lively heart of Matera. At the same time, the apartment itself is on a quiet street, giving you the perfect combination of a central location and a peaceful place to stay. The parking recommended by Bruna was literally around the corner and provided excellent service, making things very easy for us. But what really made our stay special was Bruna herself. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The biggest and most touching surprise came the following morning. When we opened our door, there was a beautiful gift bag filled with chocolates and sweets waiting for us. Bruna had personally arranged it because it was my father's birthday that day.

Loved everithing!!

Location and great staff

Shower was very small

Perfect location

We had to climb two stairs. Not ideal with big and heavy suitcase. Very small bathroom/shower. Perfect for a night. Not ideal for longer stays

We talked to owners but never met a person. The place was walkable to the Sassi, however we tried to use Taxi or Uber often to save our energy for the Sassi. The accommodation was well thought out and comfortable.

We originally had difficulty with doors and keys. A phone call finally settled it. The stairs were difficult. It should teach me to pack even lighter.
