The room was really nice. Real old fashioned furniture and a four post bed.

The mattress and pillows were too hard for me but okay for my husband

Mahogany Hall is located right on a major river surrounded with beautiful jungle. The entire staff is Excellent! Our meals were heavenly, and the bed and furnishings are AMAZING! We only wish that we had stayed longer. Tropical birds are all around the hotel and we saw a large troop of howler monkies as we checked in. The manager arranged the best excursion that we took in our whole two week journey on short notice! His name is Edwin, and he provided us the most amazing day of Mayan ruins, cave exploration on canoe, and an awesome butterfly center, All in one day at a great value!! Many people told us that Mahogany Hall is top three accomodation in the entire San Ignacio region and we highly reccomend staying here!

We loved this place right along the river. It was about 3 miles from St. Ignacio so I recommend a car however, all the staff was beyond friendly. The meals were so delicious. The menu depended on what they caught that day so the dinners were fresh. Being right along the river was perfection. HIghly recommended!

Beautiful location by the river, property was gorgeous. Had dinner one night and the fish was delicious.

I was choosing locations to stay based on a few amenities such as internet, air-conditioning and Tv. TV and A/C didn’t work and internet was only available in the common areas. We had a car, which was good for this location.. There are costs for “bar service” “water service” “service fee”.

Beautiful location! Wonderful sights nearby. Lovely staff.

Some technical difficulties (no service for tv, an a/c on the fritz), but staff were respond to problems and in the jungle, not unexpected.

The 2 dinners we ate there were outstanding! All of the staff were very attentive to all of our needs. We celebrated our anniversary while staying here and so much effort was put into recognizing our special day- from our bed being decorated by housekeeping, to a special table location and setting for dinner. The location- right on the river- created a very relaxing atmosphere and gave us plenty of entertainment while using the tubes to float down sections of the river!

The hotel was beautiful and everyone working there was so accommodating and friendly!
