The breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful
The decor looked tired and time for a refresh. Rather dark and dingy throughout, including bedrooms

we didn't have breakfast just a coffee and croisant which is all we wanted.
The staff and William in particular were very helpful and went the extra mile carrying bags and providing advice.
the location is great and parking outside the hotel is ok for unloading etc but the Q parking up the road is OK and workable for day/overnight usage and an easy work up Victoria st.
the front lounge is also v good and convivial - good staff
The black cab tour of the Troubles and areas of Belfast organised thru the hotel was the stand out of our holiday
the internal decor is too dark and depressing
whilst the hotel is named after Josephine Bonapartes Chateau outside Paris
The Decor is more gothic at the hotel and does not resemble the real Mal Maison which is exquisite.

The receptionist when we arrived was lovely, really good welcome with a friendly chat! A few mins after we got to our room she came with a bottle of Prosecco as we had talked about us getting married the previous day! Really thoughtful touch and it was much appreciated! The beds are super comfy, location is perfect. Shower good pressure and hot, easy to control room temperature. Black out curtains were great had a nice lie in. The guys in the bar were really friendly and helpful too!

Got an amazing Pina Colada in the hotel bar, best drink I had all night!
Rooms were very dark and seemed a bit worn, in need of a refurb
Had to move rooms, our binds were broken (very clearly detached from the wall so don't know how house keeping didn't notice).
To be fair, we were quickly re-allocated a new room (right next door) and were given a voucher for 1 free drink each! Would have preferred a room upgrade!
