Excellent place to stay. Great location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room and a good breakfast.

Great location within walking distance of the city centre (and pretty much everywhere else in central Dublin)! The staff was very friendly and helpful which made my stay all the more enjoyable. I even received a map of the city alongside some recommendation of what I should take a look at when I arrived! I got lucky and was in town during the last fight of Kathy Taylor (Irish boxing champ for anyone wondering, yes, I was surprised, too), the event honestly elevated the city atmosphere and I first heard about it from the staff. So in case anyone was wondering if stopping for a quick chat with the staff is an option? It absolutely is and you will learn about the city insiders on top! To put an end to my rambling: The room was lovely, everything had an old school vibe, except for the bathroom which was pretty modern. I loved the vibe of the place and the interior was very charming!

I suppose it wouldn't a proper feedback if I only included the positives. Although, all I can critique is that the walls were a bit thin. Great for an extra wake up call, less so if you want to sleep in. Considering I didn't mind getting up early though, it wasn't much of an isssue for me! (and for the people who don't want to miss breakfast? even better. :) )

Charming hotel with wonderful, personable, helpful daughter and father running the operation. Gerry & Olga were great, and photo below is with Gerry. Great location, easily walkable to the major tourist destinations. Comfortable beds and bathrooms. Generous breakfast included. Loved this place and would return in a flash next time I’m in Dublin.

lovely friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful Georgian street close to a lovely Georgian square where I caught the No.7 bus and had a scenic journey along the coast to Blackrock etc. (on a Sunday there was little traffic). Beautiful lounge with historic Georgian fireplace, mirror and other period details.

The bedroom was at the back and the window was frosted, so you you couldn't even see the sky. This is a shame, because when it was opened a crack you could you see a beautiful historic church spire, and another historic building at the back. Things of historic interest that show you that you are in the centre of historic Dublin, and when the sky is blue it is nice to see it! The breakfast room downstairs is a bit gloomy and it would have been nice to make more of the big window with the view of the Georgian alley at the back, with the old moss covered stairs. Painting the walls white and putting some geranium pots down the stairs would make this a nice old period feature to look out on. The breakfast had lovely muesli, orange juice and a pot of tea, and it's fine that a full cooked breakfast was not offered, but in that case, I think more effort could have been made with the toast. The brown toast was a bit bland and the marmalade was in single-use plastic. The simple breakfast would have been made special and a treat with organic home made marmalade in a little pot, organic Irish butter in a little pot, and organic bread from a local baker. That would make it a healthier breakfast showing off the best quality Irish produce, that would offer something that a bland chain hotel would not offer, and something that would show off it being a family-run hotel with strong Irish roots.
