Les Douvres Hotel

A lovely hotel in the St. Martins area, only a short walk to Saints Bay. We stayed here following the last minute cancellation of our ferry. We did not have breakfast but did eat in the restaurant on an evening. The food was always excellent with a nice menu and surroundings. The room we had was quite small but was enough for a short stay.

Lovely property with good communal areas and comfortable bedrooms. Staff were very helpful and the food was excellent quality.

Nothing I can think of.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The evening meals were very good.

The room had no chairs so it was not comfortable having to sit on the bed in the room. The television had a very poor signal that the maintanence man was unable to totally resolve during our stay but he was able to give us temporary service. Due to events taking place, it was a little noisy at times.

Twin beds but NOT confirmed until arrival despite repeated questions before arrival

Hotel unable to confirm twin bed availability which was vital for a satisfactory stay. The crowded public areas. At no time during the booking or lead up to our stay was there a warning that a wedding event would be running. We had a 4am start on the (delayed) day of arrival due to fog and delay of the flight the previous day. The volume of noise and difficulty moving around the crowded public areas was awkward, and resulted in the above gradings of reduced satisfaction. It was not an ideal start of a much needed, peaceful, relaxing holiday catching-up with adult family members.
