OYO Lonsdale Guest House

Nice and easy entry no fuss booking in clean and great value

It's what you expect for the price

Ideal location for visiting Oxford city. Just a short and very frequent bus ride into the centre. Summertown is also a very pleasant area with quite a variety of shops and cafes only a short walk from the GuestHouse. Accommodation was spotlessly clean, towels changed daily and a very welcoming greeting by the owner.

Clean and comfortable

The location is quite good, around a 30-minute walk from the city centre in a pleasant and quiet neighbourhood. The room was acceptable and met our basic expectations.

The staff were quite rude and unhelpful. We had specifically booked and prepaid for a rate that included breakfast, but were told on arrival that we were not entitled to it. Despite showing our booking confirmation, we were simply told to contact the property ourselves, which never responded to our calls or messages. We ended up paying for four breakfasts we never received. Booking.com later confirmed that breakfast was included in our reservation and offered a partial refund from their own funds because the property did not resolve the issue. This was a very disappointing experience and showed a complete lack of customer care.
