Steeton Hall Hotel & Restaurant

This hotel is conveniently located for exploring the Skipton and Haworth area, set in nice grounds with plenty of parking. The bedrooms are large, clean and with comfortable beds. The staff and owner are all very helpful and friendly, and made every effort to make sure that our stay was enjoyable. The food menu is good. There are occasional music nights, with a Beatles tribute act during my stay.

Staff hepful and very friendly. Relaxed atmosphere. Situated in lovely grounds with plenty of car parking. Just a couple of hundred yards from railway station. Old building with lots of quirky features and character; beautifully and tastefully decorated.. Large bar area on ground floor. Large and very comfortable bed. Terrific breakfast: more than ample tastey fry-up or continental with all the usual trimmings A lovely part of the country, Small supermarket in Steeton and restaurants and shops in nearby Silsden and Skipton.

Dinner menu a bit restricted. Large bay window in our room could do with net cutains or blinds to keep out sun and increase privacy.

Nice breakfast , good quality food .

A information pack in the room would have been nice . A little history about the building would have been interesting as it was a Manor House . Grounds needed a good gardener for a few days . Bathroom needs new around the bath . The hotel needs refreshing as it has a tired appearance.

The cooked breakfast was very good and cooked quickly. The coffee was only warm from the machine. The buffet breakfast looked somewhat meagre but was not taken by us. My room was spacious with four poster bed and comfortable mattress. l. The bathroom was modern and had a jacuzzi which we did not use. The single bedroom was on the small side and rather overpriced. Ample parking. Well tended grounds and sitting areas. Near to the railway station and Aire Valley dual carriageway.

There was a notice behind the bedroom door which read "Do not disturb sign" and on the reverse said Please clean and Do not clean. We did not see this and left the room. On returning later in the day we found the room had not been cleaned and towels changed. We were told we should have put the clean sign on the outside of the door on leaving. Be warned.
