The hotel seems like it's family run - all the staff were really nice. Props to the younger guy, who checked us in. He waited for us as we arrived late, and he was so kind and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was nice, no complaints. Room was nice - I stayed in the Maid Marian suite, and the bed was comfortable, good TV etc. No complaints there either. I thought dinner was lovely, service was good! I loved the bar, really small homey vibe in there and it was really comfortable.
Not a huge issue but, I found the key a bit hard to get out of the lock for my rooms sometimes, but that could've been just me! Also, I would suggest fixing the lock in the ladies toilet, by reception. One is fine, the other is just missing a handle. Otherwise, no complaints.

Breakfast was cooked to order. Cereals and yogurt were available.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was beautiful, right next to Sherwood Forest.
I felt it was in need of some updating. Very dark and worn.

Close to Wedding venue
Rooms were tidy and bed linen clean
Nice breakfast and attentive member of staff at breakfast
Said online can check in after 10pm but found the constant contact from them asking for us to check in early a tad annoying - we had to leave the venue to go check in and then drive back again
Never anyone in reception
Room smelt really mouldy - old and needed some restoration
Expensive room Given the smell in the room - had to use lots of air freshener …. Took a while to go to sleep
