Loved being in a character building with all the mod cons and loved the huge central table to gather around.

Maybe a couch in the main living/kitchen area as lounge room was not an appealing space to gather and relax, no light and no view of garden.

All there is to like about a welcoming host (Susanna) an exquisite location for a genuine and loved historical home, Just as we had hoped. Great base to explore the area.

The downside of having an elevated view across Launceston is that walking down to restaurants/ pubs etc means you may have to walk back up again- fine for the young and fit.

Comfortable bed, room was reasonably spacious

Steep and narrow stairway to bedrooms, located at the top of a very steep hill from the city centre, no personal touch, crowded & noisy breakfast room, the hosts completely ignored us. Shame, it’s a grand old house but not suitable for us
