Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Hotel very clean.

Hotel is dated and tired. Room not too warm but fan heater provided after first night. Some fire door propped open.

Received a very warm welcome on arrival and this standard of service was maintained throughout our stay. Had a spacious and well appointed twin room with a lovely view towards Ailsa Craig. Breakfast was delicious, using a number of locally sourced ingredients. Highly recommended!

The shower in Room 210 needs replaced - virtually no pressure.

Excellent location for town or golf. Excellent facilities for golfers such as drying room and storage. Nice breakfast included in the price. Bar and restaurant facilities looked good though I didn’t actually use them. Staff very efficient and helpful.

Very little, if anything a slight lack of sound proofing but not bad enough to spoil the visit.

Lovely hotel close to the town and beach, had a very nice two night stay with my wife. Staff very friendly and made us feel welcome.

Our booking for Saturday night was lost so we did not get a sea view. The hotel had a large family group staying which dominated proceedings. We felt pushed out of our room and even for breakfast the better part of the breakfast room was reserved for the ‘family’. We were given a room above the celebration room where loud music was played til after midnight. I suggest that the hotel does not take bookings from the public if the venue is going to be dominated by one party. Wouldn’t dream of staying here again!

south beach hotel was located a stones throw from the beach the staff were welcoming and friendly. we had a lovely stay and would go back. We travelled with our small dog and were made to feel very welcome, we were able to have breakfast and dinner with our dog and the area was set up for us in the morning. We felt very welcome.

The staff are first-rate, the location is great and the food in the dining room was excellent. They had the best haggis I've ever tasted.

We'd booked a double bedroom that said sea view, garden view. We got a twin room with no sea view. When we asked reception they apologised but said no double rooms left and that there was a problem with the booking.com listing.

Staff were very friendly and obliging. The hotel was excellent. Great to see the hotel survived the pandemic and we had a great 2 night stay. Food was excellent.
