Characterful. My guess is a late 19th/early 20th century recreation of a traditional coaching inn. Lovely intimate feeling interior. Bike friendly.
Soundproofing a bit poor but it adds to the character and I had no problem sleeping.

Wonderful newly renovated Comfort room with amazing bathroom. The room was spacious and on the ground level. Breakfasts were good and the staff lovely.
Distance from train station, but this hotel is close to the town, so was a better option than near the station.
