Good location, very good breakfast and fresh room with nice balcony

The stairs in the backyard was in a quite dark area so I almost fell and hit my foot a bit. Could be more light there :)

Stunning views, very clean rooms and friendly staff

1. The location was great. I will take this chance to say that the property is not waterfront which I thought it was when I booked. I panicked a little when we arrived as we were on the other side of the road and turned to go up a small hill. But thankfully the hotel was still close enough for us. About a 10 minute walk into Malcesine Town which had lots of dinner choices. We had a car so parking was important for us here and it was easy, parking just outside. 2. We are in Italy for 3 weeks, staying in 6 different places and this was stop number 4. Hotel Capri had the best breakfast options we felt. Although we have found that an Italian continental is so much cakes and pastries which just isn't for us as first meal of the day. They had a lovely fruit selection, fresh fruit not tinned, local beeswax for fresh honey. A lot of local and fresh produce which made breakfast more enjoyable. They offered scrambled or friend egg with some bacon from the kitchen. 3. The staff where very friendly and accommodating. Spoke multiple languages which was so impressive. They were very informative. 4. The pool area was very nice. The first day we experienced quite a lot of bugs in the pool which wasnt nice hit the next day it was much better. 5. Our room was a great size, I'd highly recommend paying the extra to get the balcony with lake view room. It made the experience. It was a good sized balcony too and the room was large. 6. Streaming services were easily accessible on the TV which we really liked. We are the type of travellers who are up early, spend the day exploring, find a local restaurant for dinner then enjoy the evening resting in our room after enjoying some wine on the balcony.. So accessing our Netflix account to enjoy was great, especially on the night there was an amazing thunder storm outside. 7. We took advantage of the spa by booking a treatment each - my husband had a sports massage and I had a leg and foot massage.

1. The beds were not the comfiest, hard mattresses. 2. Even though we liked the breakfast, we would have liked even more hot food options and savoury options to accommodate to more international guests. We are not used to cakes and pastries for breakfast and it's a bit much. For example, avocado on toast, grilled tomatoes, poached eggs would have been lovely. 3. Our stay wasn't long enough 😁

Hotel was very clean and had all facilities. Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the lake was special.
