Kefalonia Bay Palace by GHH

We enjoyed our 3 nights stay with breakfast at the Kefalonia Bay Palace. Warm welcome on arrival. Reception managers were also very friendly and helpful in arranging car hire and taxis. Impressive swimming pool and bar area overlooking the sea. Small beach area about 10 minutes walk away. Agia Effimia was a great base for exploring Kefalonia.

This is a beautiful hotel. The view is breathtaking and the hotel is very quiet. The pool is the best pool I've had ever in a hotel. It is also convenient to be able to order a light lunch at the pool. I found that the value was incredible. The room was large and clean. There was a problem with the A/C and with an appliance in the bathroom and somebody came and fixed everything. There were a few soft drinks, water bottles and a few snacks in the fridge free of charge. But most of all the staff was really friendly and helpful and you really feel that they do everything to make your stay pleasant. Fantastic place to relax! I would definitely visit again.

On the minus side, a lot of stairs to the pool and the street down below to walk to the beach, the restaurants and Agia Efimia. However, there are elevators at the restaurant and lobby levels and to all the rooms. There is a dinner offered at 25 Euro per person. It offers a menu with two options per category. The first course and appetizers were very tasty. The main course needs improvement. The bathroom needs improvement, mostly there is nothing to hold on to and you can slip easily plus you need shelves to put your stuff on but we were told by the super friendly and efficient manager that this was planned and I believe her.

Pleasant communal areas, fantastic pool and just a few minutes walk to excellent tavernas
