Comfortable property with great decor. Nice communal area downstairs. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Great breakfast.
Noisy at night, particularly on our last night - some guests seemed to arrive around 2am and there was a lot of noise with suitcases and talking in communal areas. I'm a bit surprised they were allowed to check in at this hour given the nature of the property (i.e. older property, not sound- proofed), it's inevitable this would disturb other guests.
Bairro Alto - location is convenient but the streets around the hotel are very dirty.

It was a lovely, cozy and comfortable space. Very nice staff.
Although just a few minutes walk from the center, the location felt a bit isolated at night for a solo female traveler but it was fine for the day and early evening.

Delicious breakfast served in open kitchen/dining room/reception area. We loved the well stocked honesty bar with large fridge full of cold drinks. The location is great for restaurants, shops and bars but there is nowhere to pull up outside the hotel so if you arrive by car you will need to drop bags and then find parking.
Our room, which had a beautiful view, was very small.
