Frühstücksbuffet war in Ordnung, durchaus reichhaltig, die Flexiblität für eine Tasse Kaffee schon etwas früher aber gegen Null.

Erschreckend war, das etwa die Rezeptionistin weder gut Deutsch noch Englisch sprechen konnte.

The pictures of the hotel and garden don't do justice to the hotel, it's far nicer than you would expect. We stayed in the bungalow at the end of the meticulously trimmed garden and everything was more than perfect. There are many places in the garden where you can have a drink, or read a book. There's a sort of poolhouse in the middle of the garden where you can work on your laptop, read or have a drink (honesty bar). The pool is beautifully arranged amidst trees, bushes and flowers. The breakfast was extensive, and the breakfast room very cosy. The clientele is mainly people who come to this region to bicycle. Practically all cars in the parking lot had bicycles on the back of them. The region is inundated with bicyclists, never have we seen that many bicyclists moving around and it was mid-September! The castle and center of Lednice are only a walk away so is the bicycle tour along the triangle : Lednice, Valtice, Breclav. But beware: the route is very varied and at times quite technical. It takes you through forests, across fields and along tracks covered with coarse gravel. The passages through the towns can be very confusing due to the lack of signage, and they are not always without danger, as traffic thunders past at an alarming pace. This being said, I have to point out that drivers in Ungarn and Czechia are very respectful towards bicyclists. Since Lednice is very touristic, we went to Valtice for dinner. Valtice has some good restaurants. Simple food, but good. But if you're planning on visiting the church in Valtice, you're in for a disappointment, we haven't found any church in Czechia that is open. And...we noticed that restaurants in Valtice apply the American tip system on their pay terminals. You have to choose between 10, 15 or 20 per cent tip. Which is not correct since tip and service are included in the price over here. We adopt a lot from America, but some customs are better left over there.

There was nothing about this hotel which I didn't like. It was perfect.

Beautiful gardens and pool, lots of play areas for small children, nice breakfast.

Restaurant was quite expensive

The hotel was in a good location. Enjoyed the surroundings and the hotel grounds. The natural pool was great especially as the weather was hot. Also there was a good choice of bikes to rent.

The breakfast area was very small which made difficult to move around and take food in a busier times. The variety of breakfast could be better. Perhaps the food could be slightly different on daily basis. We stayed 5 nights which meant that we eat the same breakfast for 5 days. The biggest disappointment was the room service and cleaning. The towels were not changed in 5 days!!! With doing activities on hot days my partner and I got a shower 2-3 a day. The towels were dirty and wet. There was one small bin in the room which was cleaned every 2 days. I think the room should be cleaned every day and toilet paper should be replenished more often. I had to ask for new ones. The hotel is not cheap and they should provide more for the price.
