Lovely hotel, lovely location.

Great location away from the main road, fantastic cooked breakfast but no fruit at the buffet / cereal area, which is unusual for a hotel of this calibre. The beers were awesome, as was the food, and the staff were the best!

Our room was stiflingly hot at times due to it being above the kitchen, we were warned of this at check in and given an electric fan, which wasn't really adequate, and the window only opens slightly. Air conditioning would be a major improvement, but that's the only negative thing about the whole stay, everything else was great.

A fabulous place to stay in the centre of the village.

Room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Food was excellent served by friendly, attentive staff

A very nice place to stay, staff helpful, would recommend staying there.

The room were very nice, the staff were very helpful. Really enjoyed the full breakfast, quality ingredients Very central position within the village.

They could have given us a heads up that they were busy for Sunday lunch, we arrived Friday afternoon so there were a couple of days, when we asked on the Saturday we were met with fully booked. Also when you arrive by car, because it is also a pub you may struggle to park your car in the car park.

Small detail but unable to get a table for dinner had to eat elsewhere.. It was Easter weekend, and I should have been advised to book on check-in. ..

Classic country pub with everything that you would expect...great service from Chris and team.

Pleasant

Great location, really helpful staff but too few of them. Amazing breakfasts.

We arrived back at just before midnight to find everything locked up after a wedding.

Lovely hotel in the centre of Coniston

Friendly staff and perfect location for a quick walk up to Coniston copper mines. The hotel decor was well chosen and the whole place felt very homely.

Short staffed and a general air of incompetence in my experience.

Food was to a good standard. Parking on site but not a huge amount of spaces.

Many items in the room were broken. Staff didn't know what they were doing. Milk only provided on the first day, and after that had to chase it down as according to housekeeping the fridge should be stocked but never was.
