Mizno Hotel

The room has a view of Mt. Fuji, if it is a clear day. The first day, was cloudy and we didn't see it, but the next day was beautiful and we had a very nice view. The staff and service were outstanding. Everyone is very friendly and provided excellent service. We also enjoyed the free electric assist bicycles. On the sunny day we had, we took a ride around the Lake and it was great to have the electric assist. It's about 12 miles around the lake. We had all our meals at the restaurant, the food was plenty and of good quality for a fair price. They also accommodated one member of our party that has a severe shellfish allergy. We also enjoyed the private onsen on the roof deck. There are lots of seating areas with great view of Mt. Fuji.

The lobby area furniture and general decor is a little eclectic, a mix of European and Japanese. Some of the furniture is dated. I think the hotel caters more to international travellers, we didn't see many locals. The service and food were good in the restaurant, but there are only two choices for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is a western breakfast.

Beautiful hotel with a lovely view

Loved the tatami room. Loved the public onsen which had an outdoor and indoor portion. Loved that they provided ice cream to enjoy after the onsen. Enjoyed the private onsen as well. Great view of mount fuji except it was raining during our stay so the view was slightly obscured.

Only 1 pair of balcony slippers. Only 1 person could head out to the balcony. Private onsen could be better if the shower temperature could be easily adjusted (knob was very hard) and if there was soap/shampoo available for a quick shower at the facility.

The hotel was fine but the dining facilities were limited even for paying guests!!!
