Kolbe Hotel Rome

Excellent staff- Tried hard to please the guests and take care of our needs- Delicious breakfast- arranged our transportation from the airport to the hotel, for 2 sightseeing trips, and to the cruise port the next day.

We booked 2 rooms here ( 1 for my husband and me and 1 for our daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren), for 1 night before a cruise , and we had a big issue in our room .. They gave us another room , and it also had an issue, but a different kind of problem . We finally were given a third room that had no issues, so we were able to go to sleep about 3AM in this room . We had a 6AM wake up call to get to our Vatican tour early the next morning , so. we did not get much sleep. The manager said that they couldn’t re-imburse us any money since we booked it through Booking.com and not directly with the hotel. However, it took a few months , but the Kolbe manager did advise Booking to give us some money back for our troubles, and the Kolbe also gave us part of our money back too. We appreciate them helping us .

The hotel is housed in a historic building—formerly a monastery (hardly surprising for Rome, yet still remarkable)—which makes the experience there truly special. The inner courtyard is a particular highlight; it is cozy and offers a welcome refuge from the summer heat, serving as a tranquil spot for relaxation, especially during evening dinners.

Da prenotazione la camera doveva essere "con vista": ci è stata data una camera al pian terreno che affacciava su un giardino non privato. Camera troppo fredda, pur regolando il condizionatore siamo morti di freddo. Vasca-doccia non comodissima.
