Lindos Mare, Seaside Hotel

Stunning views, excellent facilities, well-appointed rooms and a great general feel to the place. Polished but not pretentious! We felt right at home. My partner is vegan and the buffet restaurant and both à la carte options were very accommodating for her which we really appreciated. All the food was excellent, with a great range of dishes and different cuisines on offer. We had rain on one day (very late September) so we booked spa treatments to pass the time - these were excellent and reasonably priced, we thought. Throughout our stay we were really impressed by the staff who were all really friendly and polite, happy to help whenever we had an issue, and made the stay very enjoyable. The hotel is a quick taxi (10 euro each way) into the nearby Lindos village which is very cute and well worth a day trip - not walkable from the hotel but taxis were very easy to sort out. Overall I highly recommend this hotel! We will definitely be back!

It wasn’t a problem at all for us, but worth noting that the property is built into the cliff side so there are four different lifts which take you down from Reception at the top to the Beach level. It’s all well organised and easy to navigate, and we never had to wait for a lift while we were there, but it’s a slightly unusual layout - if you have accessibility issues or perhaps young children, you might want to think about the feasibility of this for you. As I said though, for us, it was no issue at all - just something we hadn’t seen from anything we read or saw online about the property.

Staff fantastic, unexpected complimentaries in our room such as champagne and sandwiches on our very late arrival. Beautiful view from our room. Food in the restaurants was high quality and reasonably priced….the tapas set menu in the Greek taverna was huge and enough for 4 people instead of 2. Pool area was excellent. Great hotel!

Whilst in Lindos, it wasn’t really as it was a few kms away. There was no ability to walk there as the highway didn’t have a pavement so the only option is a 20 euro taxi round trip. If the hotel laid on a shuttle that would be perfect but they didn’t.

we loved the breakfast - excellent every day. We did struggle with dinners - with the one restaurant being fine dining and the other one a 50 Euro a head option. We wanted to have a few nights where we didn't go out and found that the bar menu, while delicious, had only 4 options. It would have been lovely if the pool bar/ restaurant had stayed open later. We did not want fine dining but understand that some people like that on holiday! I had the best massage I have ever had. The lady is South African/ Greek ( I forgot her name, sorry). truly an mazing experience.
