Everything was very nice.
Just one small criticism, mattress needed turned as was a bit lumpy.

Excellent directions when I rang the lady on reception, after we got stuck in the one way system.
The young man in the bar, and who took our dinner order, was very chatty and pleasant.
The food was delicious, and the portions were huge!
Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom looked newly fitted and clean.
A lovely old style coaching inn, with an amazing history.
The postcode that we were given on Booking.com is incorrect, which caused us to get stuck in the one way system near the hotel. The correct one, which I can't remember right now, ends with an X I think. Ring the hotel directly for the right one.
Take care when turning into, and exiting, the car park, as although the car park itself is roomy enough, the entrance and exits are on very tight turns, with cars parked down one side, and pedestrians appearing from nowhere!
I realise there's not much that can be done about that, it's just a heads up.

Parking unavailable cost me £17 at local multi storey. Breakfast was not included. Staff very dismissive.
Won't stay again.
