Fabio warmly welcomed me and gave me the door codes and helpful information. They had also included a welcome sign with flowers and some local sugarcane cookies, which was a very thoughtful touch. The apartment is well located on a popular tourist street, but it's quiet inside, so you can sleep well without any noise. I'd recommend staying here.
The only small niggle was cleaning- the shower door and pipes are coated in limescale, so whilst not dirty, it does look dirty, as the glass should be transparent and shiny. But this is a small thing, as the rest of the flat was very clean.

I had a very pleasant stay at this apartment. It is well equipped with modern facilities, and everything was convenient and easy to use. The host kindly met me upon arrival and even helped carry my luggage upstairs, which I really appreciated.
The room was perfect for me as a solo traveller, and the location was excellent, with several restaurants right next door and easy access to the surrounding area. Communication via WhatsApp was also very efficient, with quick and helpful responses.
Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient stay, and I greatly appreciated the host’s warm hospitality.
It can be a little challenging to carry a 22 kg suitcase up and down the stairs, and the cobblestone roads in the area also make travelling with heavy luggage somewhat difficult.

Very well located along the shore of Funchal town centre close to restaurants and attractions.
Could use a washing machine and drier to round off the property for longer stays.

Location and the spacious balcony.
Very poor lighting. Living area was very dark.
Bedroom and bathroom were tired and outdated.
The throw on the bed looked old and in poor condition. Could not read in bed due to poor lighting.
