Hotel v Centru

I think I was the only one there.. Czech in and breakfast were all via theire system hotel (2 minutes walk)

It was good

Clean and friendly

A bit dark, whilst waiting for the lights to kick in

Centrally located to the main square and lots of restaurants and bars.

Listed as having air conditioning. There was NO air conditioning and it was 40C when we were there. Specifically picked this hotel because it was listed as having air conditioning. Could not sleep, even with open door and fan, it was way too hot. Also, a horde of pigeons live right outside the balcony door and they were noisy and we were slightly concerned they would come into our room as they clearly used the balcony.

We decided to stay here to reduce the cost of a long trip and this hotel was very reasonable in terms of price. The room is quite large and counts with a mini fridge which is quite useful. Another thing to note is how close it is to the main square, with lots of restaurants around the corner and a park with a playground. While breakfast is very basic, food is actually nice, also if you pay separately from the room, it’s really not expensive. We requested an additional bed for our child and they kindly provided it, while communication with the staff was limited, they did try their best.

The property needs refurbishing ASAP but in the meantime; small updates can make a huge difference, for example: the shower bar comes off, the toilet paper holder screws are off, the standing lamp did not work, the carpet looks very old and dirty, I saw a old stain in the sheets (they were clean though) that has not come off (throw it away!) etc. Some of these can easily be fixed, like the WiFi password for example, the one sent by email vs provided at hotel don’t match. The lack of plugs next to the bed, missing pillows, etc. Also FYI, this hotel doesn’t count with their own reception so there is nobody there to help, everything is managed by another hotel around the corner (this is quite strange as they don’t seem to belong to the same brand of hotels) which means that check-in/out plus requests or even breakfast happen there. This is absolutely not a problem however, nothing was communicated at check-in. Again, it’s the small details that make a difference, you don’t need a luxury property to have a great experience.
