Everything in the apartment was as advertised. The street is loud but the miracle front windows block out the sound. The restaurant downstairs is quiet and well worth trying (good and authentic). Location is very central. Note there is no dryer, which is typical of Lisbon but inconvenient if you’re there for a long stay and not a fan of clothes lines. Carla was wonderful and responsive.

The apartment was just as described, and was a very comfortable two bedroom. And it was well equipped for cooking and Carla left lots of spices, oil & vinegar so we didn’t have to stock up on everything. Thiago is as everybody told me, the funnest, best place to stay. The apartment has soundproof windows, so you couldn’t hear the noise from the street which was terrific. And a great place to rent if you want to be in the center of it all.

Loved it! The flat is located close to a metro, an easy walk to dining, shopping and site seeing. The rooms were clean & comfortable. The AC worked great and kept us cool on our return from site seeing. Carla was an excellent host providing advice on places to see and dine. We would definitely stay here again if available.

The building and apartment has all the charm and comforts desired in a vacation property. Carla was very helpful at checkin and provided directions to the local market. Windows block street noise allowing you to be in the middle of the lovely city action while getting a good nights sleep.

We are back home from our two-week vacation in Europe. While there, our family had the pleasure of staying at Carla’s charming apartment in Lisbon for 4 nights from July 3-7. If you are in Lisbon, stay at Carla’s apartment. It’s super clean, beautifully decorated, centrally located, and Carla is the sweetest host. She was there to welcome us to her apartment, and to Lisbon. The apartment has everything you need for your stay, and it felt like home while we were there. Carla’s place deserves more than 5 stars!! Carla is a sweetheart. We arrived early and she accommodated us as we had to drop off car rental at airport and was hard to figure a time frame. Carla went over all what we needed to know about the apartment even the shower. it was roomy for us 3 woman and having the washing machine was a big plus. the shutters helped with street noise and if you closed the doors to the bedroom with the twin beds all was fine. Great location right next to a small square with plenty of choices for meals and groceries. The one flight of stairs up was not a problem for us 70 plus year olds and it is just a few steps from the square so not steep road. The appartment's location is in the center of everything, the kitchen is fully equipped, appartment is very nicely decorated,and Carla is very kind and helpfull. We enjoyed staying in Carla's appartment very match!

We had the best stay in Lisbon! Carla’s apartment was clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed. The apartment is located within walking distance to so many sites, shopping, and restaurants. I had seen some mentions of noise in the area but I brought my sound machine and slept like a baby. We were so sad to leave this place and hopefully someday we’ll be back in Lisbon to enjoy it again! :)

Carla was a great host! She was there to meet us when we arrived and made the check-in process very easy. She was helpful with suggestions of restaurants and things to do. Her apartment is in a perfect location from which we could easily walk to all the areas we wished to explore. As mentioned by others, the shower is small, and I too found the beds a bit hard, but overall a great apartment! Would highly recommend!

Property was clean when we arrived, with lots of essentials like laundry detergent, dish soap, hand soaps, and toilet paper. The decor inside is lovely. I couldn’t have asked for a better location! The hot water was nice and the shower had good pressure. Though the shower was a tad small. The laundry machine was a washer only but worked well for small loads. Drying lines are provided. The air conditioners worked well and are very needed!! The beds were too hard for my liking but they were tolerable for my stay. The key to the main door doesn’t work very well so sometimes it takes a while to get the lock to turn. Carla was a great host and very helpful! Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend this apartment and host!

Apartment is wonderfully located and close to everything. The place itself is simple and functional which was all we needed as we explored Lisbon. A bit noisy on the weekends when the street was active at night but was not unexpected. Carla was fantastic in helping us get oriented and very accommodating of our late arrival. Many thanks!

This apartment worked out great for us. It was very comfortable and ideally located to get around. It's a 19th century building so it added to the charm of our stay. The trolley ran about a half block from the apartment so we had easy access to transportation. There is one flight of steep stairs to get to the apartment, but we did fine. Carla was a great host and answered all our questions.

Had a great nine day stay. Host was amazing and apartment was perfect for us. It is on a busy street but new sound proof windows worked wonders at night. Highly recommend.

This apartment in Bairro Alto has the perfect location very close to the Metro, Trolley, Bica and many delicious bakeries (A padaria portuguesa great place for breakfast) and the best place for “pastel de nata” at Manteigaria. There are many restaurants around that region, so make sure to check reviews before you go. We had a wonderful dinner at Oitto. The street does get a little noise at night, but the sound proof windows really help. The bed was a little hard for me and I would had liked to have more than one pillow. Overall great place and great value! Carla the owner was wonderful and very communicative.

We loved our stay. We had the best time in Lisbon thanks to the prime location of this apt! Carla and her business partner Sophia were very responsive and excellent with communication. Easy check-in and check-out. Super clean and well-decorated apt. We will be back soon!

Flat advertisement is accurate in terms of size and amenities. Accomodations are functional, not luxurious which was exactly what we wanted. The reason you would stay here is the incredible location. One of the most lively neighborhoods in Lisbon. Metro Station is across the street. The river is a close walk too. We were able to explore to our heart's content. Nearly everything is just outside your doorstep. Carla was extremely helpful and addressed all questions both prior to and during our stay. My daughter said our stay was among the vacations ever.

Our accommodations were better than we anticipated! The location was central to all experiences necessary to enjoy what Lisbon and all neighborhoods have to offer! Our apartment felt like home, we cooked, danced open the widows to hear the life around us! Carla and Sofia were always available and helpful. We appreciate them checking in with us! The local transportation was very convenient, food choices abundant and life here was joyful! Good walking shoes are a must because Lisbon is a great walking city! Great place for anyone to enjoy!

It was the perfect apartment for a girls' trip to Lisbon. Right in the center of things and so comfortable. It was wonderful.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Carla's apartment. From pre-arrival communication, check-in to post leaving, everything was super smooth! We especially appreciated the personal check-in upon arrival, even with a very early morning arrival. Carla checked in on us throughout our stay too. She even accommodated us checking out later because no one was staying in the apartment after us! We would definitely stay here again.

My family and I stayed a week in this beautiful apartment. The location was very central, close to amenities bars and restaurants. The host Carla was wonderful! We spent 5 nights in Lisbon in this very nice apartment. The location in barrio Alta is brilliant. It is so easy to walk everywhere and restaurants and bars are right outside the door. Food in Lisbon is much better than Porto or spain

Carla was an wonderful host from the moment we started the booking process! She was always responsive and very helpful with recommendations. She reached out on Day 1 to ensure we didn’t need anything and again midway through our 7-night stay. She even ordered us a taxi for a 6:30am departure. She made everything so easy which was wonderful for our first trip to Lisbon from the States. The apartment itself was very comfortable and just as pictured. As other reviewers indicate, it is loud in the evenings but the main bedroom is at the back and quiet. Her doors on front do an excellent job of blocking out the noise as well. The best part is the location. Truly central to everything we wanted/needed (Metro, train stations, historical sites, etc). For those visiting for first time as well, bring super comfortable shoes to walk all the hills!! We knew it was hilly but not that much. Thank you again Carla!!

Charming but noisy location in the middle of the action. Second bedroom requires earplugs. Loved being by praca Luis de canoes. Best pastry right on the square!

Carla was so sweet and accommodating! We were the first flight in from Boston which was very early. She made sure everything was ready for us upon our arrival. The location is prime! Everything we did was walking distance to the apartment. If something was to far we would easily access the tram right outside in the Praça. We enjoyed ourselves so much. Perfect central location. Lots to do In The area. A bit noisy at times, but shut the shutters and it’s fine. One person that was upstairs was noisy and so was their kid at all hours, but over all it’s great and the host is amazing. Would definitely return there.

Lovely place to stay in an optimal location. We had all we needed for a comfortable stay. Even though the temperatures soared to 100F while we were there, and the apartment had no AC, we found that it stayed cool and comfortable as long as we kept the windows closed. The excellent windows also kept out the lively street noise (though I enjoyed the music and chatter for a while). Having a washing machine was very helpful. Loved the decoration of the apartment and the furnishings. I could happily stay here for a much longer time. Location could not be more convenient to metro, grocery stores, shopping, restaurants and tourist sights. Warning: the nearby bakery is really good and quite addictive. Thank you, Carla!

A cozy apartment equipped with everything almost. It’s a busy neighborhood but when the front doors are closed you can’t hear anything inside 👍. You can walk to downtown and so many other nice neighborhoods. We were there one week. Carla the host is amazing and always responds to your messages. The Portugal people are so nice and welcoming.
