Spacious. Staff were accommodating and helpful when organising tours. A variety of international dishes and catered for allergies. The position was perfect. The website photos were exactly what we chose. The hotel celebrated our wedding anniversary with personalised messages in our room including a beautiful cake and our wedding photo on a big screen in reception.

Confusing in regards to the complimentary water in the room. We were not informed as how to dispose of the empty bottles. (We placed in bin, but were unaware that we needed to leave them on the table). This subsequently led to us being questioned over missing bottles. Upon checkout, the room was checked and we were advised that there was a bottle missing. We were more than happy to pay for the so called missing bottle but we were adamant that all our bottles were either on a table or in the bin. A little disappointed that we were being almost grilled over a bottle of water.

Our experience at this hotel was unfortunately very disappointing, especially considering that it is supposed to be a 5-star property. First, upon arrival, we had to wait approximately 35 minutes before our room was ready. We had left our luggage at reception while waiting, but once the room was available, we were asked to go and collect our own luggage. In a 5-star hotel, we would expect the staff to take care of this and have the luggage delivered directly to the room. When we finally entered the room, there were no towels. I immediately contacted reception, but it took more than one hour for the towels to be provided. These may seem like small details individually, but together they reflect a level of service that does not correspond to what we expected from a 5-star hotel. The most concerning issue, however, was the lack of privacy and security around the swimming pool. The pool is located right next to the restaurant, which is also open to people who are not staying at the hotel. On our last day, while I was heading to the pool, I noticed that a person who had been at the restaurant followed me into the pool area and was filming me while I was getting into the water. I personally asked him to delete the video, which he refused to do, claiming that he had only been filming the view. I then called the manager, who asked him to show us the video. It was very clear that I was actually being filmed. At that point, I honestly expected much more firmness from the hotel staff regarding such a serious privacy issue. Unfortunately, I did not feel that the situation was handled with the level of seriousness and protection that I would expect. We genuinely expected a much higher level of service, attention to guests and privacy from a 5-star property. Unfortunately, these issues significantly affected our experience and fell well below the standards we expected.
