Sudamala Resort, Komodo, Labuan Bajo

Amazing staff. Friendly and helpful. Exceptionally clean. Family friendly.

It was nice but for the price, I’m not sure I would stay again.

Spent 6 days here in September/October 26, before and after a 2N 3D boat trip to Komodo Islands. The property is ideally situated on the beach about 5mins by taxi from Labuan Bajo. It’s calming relaxing and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Nothing

I liked the fact that the resort was spread out, no building taller than 2-storeys and despite there being other guests around, my wife and I felt like we had the whole place to ourselves at times. No problem getting a table at the restaurant or having to wait for an available spa slot. The villa we stayed in was spacious and we loved having our own private pool to relax in after a long day. Having said that, the main pool fronting the beach was equally lovely. I highly recommend the spa for its wonderful treatment and its masseuse are top notch. We were there for my 51st birthday and the resort surprised us with a birthday arrangement in our room on the day of our arrival. That extra touch was well appreciated!

Small misses included - Sluggish housekeeping. A cake that was delivered to us on our first day and the plate sat in our room until the following despite housekeeping being done. Also the mini bar was not topped up promptly. There was also a day that we retuned from our day trip in the late afternoon to discover that housekeeping had yet to come by to make up our room. - Shower gel that was not topped up by housekeeping - There was one night that we went for dinner in town and arranged with the resort for a return transfer once we were done. However we were almost left stranded because the person arranging the pick up was unresponsive when we called. Fortunately the restaurant we were at arranged transport back to the resort for us. These were minor inconveniences. At the end of the day, there were more hits for us than misses and we enjoyed our holiday. I would recommend Sudamala to my friends and family, but I really hope the Resort will pull up its socks in the areas highlighted.

La stanza (Larantuka) si trovava al primo piano con un bel terrazzo, grande, ben arredata e accogliente.

Il problema piu grosso è stata la vicinanza con la moschea ... alle 4 del mattino si viene svegliati dal Muezin. La colazione non è molto soddisfacente sia per la qualità che per la varietà dei prodotti. La spiaggia è sporca di rifiuti e plastiche e non si può fare il bagno.
