Spice House

Ho apprezzato moltissimo la colazione: personalmente preferisco quando gli hotel propongono un menù dal quale scegliere e preparano i piatti espressi. Si mangia qualcosa di appena cucinato, di qualità migliore, e allo stesso tempo si evitano gli sprechi e la scarsa qualità del cibo tipica di molti buffet. L’hotel ha inoltre un giardino meraviglioso, molto curato, con fontane piene di pesci, ed è situato all’interno delle mura della città vecchia. Le camere sono molto ampie, comode e pulite, con un bagno davvero bello. La nostra finestra dava sui tetti e sui templi della città, rendendo il soggiorno ancora più suggestivo. Una sera abbiamo cenato nel ristorante affacciato sul giardino e abbiamo mangiato davvero molto bene, con un rapporto qualità-prezzo assolutamente corretto. In quell’occasione abbiamo anche usufruito dei drink omaggio offerti dalla struttura, un’attenzione che abbiamo apprezzato. Posso infine confermare la grande gentilezza di tutto lo staff e l’ottima conoscenza dell’inglese da parte di alcune persone del personale. Spice House is in a great location, despite being at 5 mins from the Sunday market it is quiet. The room was large and clean. All facilities working as expected and nice breakfast.

The garden setting was great, it was very peaceful and relaxing, especially with the fish! The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious.

There should be a takeaway breakfast option as a alternative to breakfast in the restaurant. They sold bakery items but this was an additional charge even if you didn't order any breakfast but had paid for bed and breakfast.

The level of cleanliness could be improved Stains on the walls, dust in the air conditioning Stains on the tiles in the shower The breakfast was one of the worst I ever had. No taste: - Old boiled eggs - tasteless fried eggs - the chicken was very bad. It should have been grilled, it was actually boiled. No taste. - bad sausages Their restaurant / bar was most of the time empty and rightly so. It was only the guests who had breakfast included / paid for that meal were sitting at the tables there. We paid for the washing and ironing of our clothes & one of the t-shirts had colours stained (that previously it did not have & now they cannot be removed) and one of the pairs of trousers was ironed burnt. We mentioned it to them, but it s not like they offered to repay us or anything. At check out they asked us to pay 200 bht because the small face towels were dirty. They kept them in a plastic bag overnight, wet, not washed to show us that they are dirty. The stains would have disappeared had the towels were washed. But they kept it to take out more money from us. When reminding them that our clothes were damaged and my husband saying that his trousers that they ruined were much more expensive thanh the towels which could easily be washed, they let the 200 bht go. It’s cnot the amount, it’s the principle. I don’t recommend it.
