The views were amazing, the rooms exceeded my expectations. It was great for a family of 4. The team even went the extra mile by packing a very generous breakfast pack as we had to check out by 6am. Thank you for the care

Located on a river bend. Big wrap around stoep and nice gardens and pool. They are dog friendly too. The sunset was exceptional.

It is small. Currently only 8 guests. I prefer a busier social dining as you meet such interesting people when travelling.

The Lodge is perfectly located to break a return trip from Cape Town to Johannesburg and makes the stopover feel like part of the holiday. We loved our room, which was some distance from the main lodge and very peaceful, located on the banks of the Orange River. The room was well appointed and comfortable, while the farm is beautiful to explore in the early morning before driving again. We will definitely use the Lodge again and hopefully stay a little longer next time.

Beautiful location on the Orange River. Room and bathroom (both shower and bath) well appointed. Bed comfortable with quality linen. Dinner choices excellent and food scrumptious. Jean-Marie was a most obliging and pleasant hostess with a bubbly personality.

Spectacular location right on the banks of the river with lush green grass garden and really gorgeous cottages and rooms all beautifully appointed.

We had about 6 bats in our unit the night, did not sleep well. The bats kept flying onto the bed and then later into the mosquito net.

Beautiful view, location excellent. Dinner was very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful wild animals to see.

Room was not very clean. Carpet had mud on and linen was not clean. Walls had spider webs on with spiders. bathroom had insects on the floor.

The on-site staff were brilliant

I had booked a double family room, which on the photos provided looked amazing. The photos showed it as modern and spacious. I received a call before our arrival to say that this room was 3.5km away from the river and where meals were served and can they move us to a single room nearer to these facilities. I agreed as I was expecting the same type of room but on a smaller scale. To my disappointment, it was a small dark room on the side of one of the lodges(a by the way room) which was not modern or spacious at all. When I addressed this with management. I was told :Hi Fiona, the rooms are all decorated the same. When I called to explain the room set up, I did explain that there was no view from inside(which was not true)the unit but that it had a little veranda with a view. You were disappointed to hear that your original booking was 3.5kms(which is also not true as it was a few 100 meters away) from the rest of the units and dining area". Please note that with the downsizing came no financial reimbursement. We paid the same price for much less. The communication with management while on site was unprofessional.

The soap in the shower had a terrible smell. It might be to keep insects away however I really didn’t like it. There was a wrapper in my daughter’s bed even though she had never slept in it.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Everything was as expected. Should like to go back there again for some more quiet time.

A luxury gem in the heart of the Karoo just outside Colesberg. Stayed in Lodge room 2 and it is pure luxury! From the amenities in the room to the delicious food for dinner and the included breakfast. The pool and bar were an incredible help during the 37 degree heat. A very special mention to Jean Marie, Tanya and Regina as the most incredible people and assisted with absolutely anything and everything. The service is impeccable, truly the best place we have ever stayed and we will never stay anywhere else on our travels to the Western Cape. Our only regret is not staying longer. This is karoo luxury at its finest, you wont find better anywhere else. Thanks ladies for everything, hope to see you again soon.

What a gorgeous location and tranquil stop after long journey- I loved everything about it the tasteful cottage, friendly staff, the gorgeous views of the Oranje Rivier, the delicious dinner and breakfast- I will definitely be heading back there to stay over either on my way to the Western Cape or returning to Gauteng from the Western Cape

Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived very late due to jhb traffic but we were still received with smiles and friendliness. Its a beautiful location and the decoration were so clever and stunning. Would really like to go back for longer than just a one night stay over.
