Beechtree House

Gem of a stay.

Did not have chance to chat with Joan and Pat longer.

The location is a bit outside of the city, but there are buses which bring you in about 30-40 minutes to the centre, so it wasn´t really an issue. The hosts were very nice and welcoming, there was wine and chocolate awaiting us upon arrival. The room itself was not very big, but comfortable and very nicely decorated.

The breakfast wasn´t quite what we expected. On booking.com it says there is a buffet from 8 to 10 am. In fact, we got some yoghurt, cereals, cheese, ham, eggs, bread, tea and coffee to our room and had to prepare the breakfast ourselves in the apartment. The builiding is also not very soundproof, we could hear every single step of the people above our room, sometimes in the middle of the night; that made it difficult to sleep.

Pat and Joan's home is a truly wonderful accommodation for those who want to experience a typical B&B in a family home! The hosts are both fantastic people (husband and wife) and some of the kindest you will ever meet in your travels! They literally welcome tourists in their very home (there are 2 rooms upstairs and maybe one more downstairs), you will have breakfast in their kitchen downstairs and you can also enjoy spending time in their great back garden! Breakfast ingredients (toast, boiled eggs, tomatoes, cheeses, ham, yogurts, cereals, tea and coffee) are of top quality and you have all the amenities. Bathroom upstairs (shared between the guests from the 2 rooms) is large and impeccably clean all the time. The area is very safe and quiet and the C4 bus, taking you to the city centre, is within a 3-minute walk (the stop for C3 is maybe a 5-minute walk away). I would definitely stay with them again if returning to Dublin.

All was wonderful.

Everything! There was nothing I didn’t like about this property, it was exceptional! The comfiest bed, gorgeous decor, welcoming atmosphere, clean and above and beyond extras from the hosts. Would definitely book again and highly recommend-

Can’t fault it, it was exactly as described and better! 5 star service and facilities
