Inn Oon Villa

Il B&B era immerso in un’oasi verde in mezzo a tantissime piante.

A beautiful little gem in the heart of Chiang Mai! InnOnn Villa is a wonderful traditional Thai wooden house, full of charm and beautifully cared for in every little detail. The common areas are lovely, cozy and welcoming. You enter through a small door from the street, then walk along a little corridor surrounded by bamboo and plants, and suddenly you find yourself in this hidden gem where time seems to have stopped. The staff are super friendly, welcoming and always very attentive. The location is also perfect and very strategic just a 7 minutes walk and you’re already in the historic streets of Chiang Mai. I would definitely recommend InnOnn Villa, especially to solo travelers looking for a beautiful, peaceful and authentic place to stay. I’m sure the rooms upstairs are even more spacious and lovely. One small thing to keep in mind: since it’s a traditional wooden house, you can hear quite a lot between floors. There are signs asking guests not to speak loudly or walk heavily, and they are definitely there for a reason! During our stay, the family upstairs could be heard walking around and sometimes moving chairs without much care. Nothing dramatic, but definitely something to be aware of if you’re a light sleeper. Overall, a charming and authentic stay in a fantastic location. Would happily recommend it!

The only downside, which we already kind of expected after seeing the room size, was that our ground-floor room was quite small and basic. That said, the price is absolutely fair for this type of accommodation, so there’s really nothing to complain about.

Inn Oon is a beautiful property somewhere on the verge between a traditional Thai house and modern, nordic design. Everything was well-appointed and very comfortable, good aircon, water filter in the shower, a fridge and kettle in the room. They also have a communal kitchen area with free drinks and snacks as well as hidden sitting areas in the garden. Since it is an old house I appreciated a sign reminding guests to keep their voices down and their feet light. Niran and his wife were such lovely hosts, always friendly and very accommodating. It really felt like a home away from home! Also a great location, very close to Sunday market, etc. but still quiet.

Nothing! Would come back in a heartbeat.

Location was great. Close to restaurants. The garden is lovely.

The property description does not state that it is a guesthouse/hostel with private rooms. It was not what I expected. If I had known it was a guest house I would not have booked a room.
