This is a well-loved ex-family home that was perfect for our family of 9 people plus 4 dogs! The house was very comfortable and spacious with almost everything we needed. The heat pump kept us lovely and warm. The back and front yards are fully fenced, so great for kids and dogs. It was a very short walk (5 minutes) to the hot springs and Hanmer Village with a great range of shops, cafes, restaurants, mini golf, and the Village Cruiser bikes.
Things to note: This is a well-loved holiday home with visible wear and tear, however, that suited us travelling with kids and dogs! There is no washing machine, just a dryer. There are two laundromats in the Hanmer village centre just a few minutes away. There was no hairdryer. Bring extra tea towels and dishcloths as they only provide a couple.
The house was clean but needed a deep clean (ie, windows, carpet cleaning). If you're looking for something really modern and fancy, this is not for you! But if you're like us travelling with kids and dogs, it's perfect!

Quiet location but close to the pool and shops. The staff were very helpful

Loved the heating system. was great as we are travelling with a 9 week old baby
Dirty dishes left in the dishwasher that we ended up washing. And no salt and pepper, an essential I would think
