The Doge's Loggia In Venice
Most sought area in Venice, very central, only 3 minutes walking from San Marco Square and all around the rich stores, theatres, restaurants and nightlife, Rialto with the famous market and Accademia bridge with the best museums and galleries. La Loggia del Doge is situated in the San Marco's quarter, the smallest quarter but the precious one. The apartment belongs to a beautiful ancient building of Venice. Venetian palace in Gothic style, a magnificent 18th century building. Luxurious apartment, very sunny and bright overlooking to the square downstairs. The apartment has two beautiful terraces, a beautiful hardwood floors and oriental rugs. The rooms have been luxuriously furnished with antiques and hung with fine oil paintings. It was thought, according to a historical note, that the Doge used to stay in that house with his lover.

The apartment is perfectly located, between Rialto and San Marco, with many good choices close by for eating (on the way to San Marco) and food shopping (along the Grand Canal). The apartment itself is like you were staying at a relative's place while they were out of town (and I mean that in a nice way). Even though it was quite hot while we were in Venice, the AC kept the place cool. The main bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed sitting out on both balconies. Veronica was very easy to communicate with through Whatsapp and she should get extra points for having manuals available for all of the appliances. This made dish and clothes washing easy.

Incredible location and a beautiful apartment. Spacious, full of antiques, and two outside spaces. It really makes a visit to Venice special.

Location is beyond perfect!! Right where you want to be - near all the sights. Apartment is old world & charming. Great terrace to enjoy the sunshine & have a glass of wine. One thing that was tough - mattresses are VERY firm. I mean very. Pillows are a bit sad and flat but we did find a couple others in armoire that were a bit better. More pillow options & a mattress topper would be great!
