This is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed and the staff are so kind, helpful and friendly. Such a lovely place to stay and be at one with nature. We did two sunrise hikes up to Pidurangala and Lion rock which they will drop you off at in the dark. They also organised an incredible safari trip for us to go and see elephants, and rented us bikes to explore the area. They will also prepare handmade food for your breakfast and dinner if wanted. The food is so so good, they cater well to different diets too. The vibe they have created at their hostel is extremely sociable and this is a great place to make new friends too. Generally all around lovely hosts who will go above and beyond to make your stay extra special

- Die Baumhäuser waren sehr cool - Personal war sehr freundlich - Der Billiard Tisch war nice - Essen war gut - Uns wurden Tuktuk-Fahrten organisiert

- Handy-Empfang war super schlecht, auch für Datenvolumen das über SIM-Karte gekauft wurde. (An anderen Orten hatten wir immer optimalen Empfang) - Duschen hat ewig gedauert, da so gut wie kein Wasser aus der Brause kam - Die meisten Tuktuk-Fahrten wurden uns von Hostel-Mitarbeitern zu einem fairen Preis angeboten. Nur am letzten Tag wurden wir leider übers Ohr gehauen: Für 15 Minuten Fahrt vom Hostel zur Bus Station in Habarana wurden uns 2500 LKR berechnet. Zum Vergleich, am nächsten Tag in Kandy hatten wir von morgens bis abends einen Tuktuk Fahrer der für den gesamten Tag (ca. 8 Stunden) nur 3000 LKR berechnet hat. Da wir ja auch keinen Internet-Empfang hatten, konnten wir auch keine anderen Fahrer als Alternative kontaktieren.

Der Besitzer und alle Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das inkludierte Frühstück ist super lecker und war unterschiedlich an beiden Tagen. Das Hostel liegt in Laufweite zum Pidurangala Rock, ca 15min. Wenn was los ist, kann man dort coole Leute kennenlernen. In unserem Zimmer gab es zwei Ventilatoren, die man auch brauchte, weil es richtig warm wurde. Das Bad ist direkt im Baumhaus mit dran und groß genug, so dass nicht alles unter Wasser steht.

Um zu den Restaurants und kleinen Shops zu kommen muss man entweder eine halbe Stunde an der Straße entlang laufen oder ein Tuk Tuk nehmen.

Staying in a tree house is cool and we enjoyed watching the birds and monkeys from our tree house. It's also a good place to meet other travelers and be social. We met lots of great people there!

We booked a private tree house and were greeted with the words "I'll show you the tree house, and if you don't like it, we have another one". We had a look at both and the second one was much better. The price was the same. Be careful if you're the last one to arrive that day, you might end up in the "prototype" room. There's no reception/wifi. We witnessed them being overbooked a few times which is due to them not being able to check their reservations online whilst people extend/book with them in person... We didn't like the way staff was "upselling" things. It would be nice if they had a price list for food/drinks/activities, so you don't have to ask every time. They would also be better off to factor the cost of dinner into the room rates (which would still be cheap) as dinner seemed expensive compared to the room rates.

Beautiful location in the jungle of sigiriya, staff were unbelievably kind and helpful and offer to assist with pretty much everything, from daily activities or travel to your next location. Food was also unreal and huge portions. They’ve also just got a new coffee machine serving up awesome caffeinated beverages!

Nothing to complain about but if you’re after a western meal, let them know with plenty of notice. All the food is made from scratch so can take some time :)
