We were here with extended family for a 10 day getaway. It was a dream! Esther was so easy to work with. Lots of space to spread out and have our own space, but also spend lots of family time together around the pool, by the firepit or in the outdoor living area. I would highly recommend this property and would go back in a heartbeat if visiting the island! Thank you for an amazing stay!

We had an incredible time at the Promise Tree for a holiday vacation with extended family. Plenty of space for a large group and it was so nice that the common area was all outside. Close to all the action in Kona. Definitely would stay here again!

The place was large and beautiful with plenty of separate rooms to accommodate our group of 10. The pictures cannot capture how open and spread out it truly is. The view of the ocean, fruit trees, grills, pool and fire pit were great amenities. Esther was welcoming and helpful answering my husband’s many questions 🙂. If it weren’t so difficult to get to Hawaii, I’d say we’ll be back every year and want to keep this one a secret. It was perfect; we had everything we needed.

Great place. Great neighborhood. Great views. Technically, there was an outdoor kitchen, but i got the impression from the website they were all built ins. The bbq was portable, the griddle was portable, the stove top was aportable unit you had to pull out of the cabinet and we never got to work, and the refrigerator was in the carport. I was expecting all to be built in. But it worked nicely and the ample seating and tables were great, as was the pool!

We had all our kids 15-21 (9 of them in total), parents and friends 14 in total. We all had plenty of room and great spaces to be together as well! Property manager/owners are very quick to respond to any questions we had. No question we will be back!! Mahalo

We had younger kids all the way up to grandparents. Everyone enjoyed the stay, kids had lots to do. The outdoor space is great for connecting with the family over cards or Football games, Movies etc. Esther was helpful in providing a couple of small things we had a special need for. Rooms could be a little warm for sleeping at night, otherwise very happy with our stay.

the promise tree was amazing. there were 10 adults and 4 children in our group. it was the perfect blend of all being able to hang out together, but also have our own space when the day was over. having our own pool was the best. there were a couple days when we never left the property. the view was stunning, the sunsets beautiful. close to town, but we felt so secluded. esther, the host, was always quick to respond to any questions. my whole family said this was the best place they had ever stayed, and i agree

We reserved The Promise Tree as a surprise birthday family vacation. We were a group of 10, ranging from 10 to 80yrs. The property is PERFECT for multi families with room to spread out and also fully enjoy all it has to offer. It was an amazing week in this stunning property with every amenity one can imagine. Esther, the property manager, was perfect, prompt and so very helpful. Thank you for helping us create such special memories!

The Promise Tree was absolutely magical and the perfect place for our inaugural family trip! Walking in we were greeted by the fragrance of blooming gardenias and the pictures just cannot capture how breathtaking this property is. The estate is HUGE and we all could not get enough of taking in the beauty of the grounds that were like a park with sunset and ocean views. With amenities galore, bathrooms for all and comfortable beds it was the perfect balance of communal space and privacy. Our two 7 year olds loved the pool, as well as the grown kids! Esther was delightful and it was easy check in, there were no issues with anything all week. We enjoyed 2 wonderful evenings at the fire pit having s'mores and laughing and have priceless memories of our family from this trip. The Promise Tree feels like a family loves the space. Thank you so much, we can't wait to come back!

This home fit our large family perfectly. We easily found everything we needed and more. The outside gathering area/pool area was wonderful. From grilling to bonfires we couldn’t have asked for more. And our property

Booked this property for my family to all stay together for a wedding in Kona. The property is a perfect space for everyone to have their own privacy areas and then have gatherings in the large open common areas and pool. Very short drive to airport/Kona. Property had everything we needed and more. Owners respond immediately to any questions or issues you need help with. If you are looking for a very authentic Hawaii experience for your large family to stay together while also having your own space I highly recommend staying here!

Our family which included 6 grandchildren all over 16 stayed at this beautiful property. We loved the way we could all have our own areas and yet enjoy getting together for meals and conversations. The covered outdoor area was wonderful and furnished just perfectly with all the necessary amenities. The pool was a hit with all the grandkids after a day of activities. This was by far the most amazing place that I have ever stayed at! Esther was the best host and her home is unbelievable. I stayed on the property for a week with my family and I had the most amazing small wedding on the property. I highly recommend staying at this place and will for sure be coming back to stay here in the future!

The home and entire property were well maintained. We had a party of 14 (10 adults, 4 children) ranging from the ages of 70 years old to 6 years old. There were many amenities that were helpful for our stay such as laundry products, cleaning supplies, beach umbrellas, coolers, etc. What wasn’t pictured was the fire pit, that was nice for the kids to do s’mores. Lastly and most importantly, the owners were responsive and helpful. They even were kind enough to get a crockpot for my family to use. Overall, great experience to add to our family memories.

We were a group of 10 ranging in age from 43 to 67. There was more than enough room for everyone to have to their own space and not feel like you were on top of one another. The kitchen (both indoor and out) were very well stocked with everything you could ever need to prepare meals, which we did did daily. Plenty of towels, coolers etc for adventures. The pool was absolutely fabulous! The temperature was always perfect and there were lots of fun floaty things.
Josh and Esther were fabulous! All communications from booking to arrival to Esther checking in to make sure everything was going well, was easy. Esther even had a beautiful birthday bouquet waiting on arrival. We had to contact Esther for 1 small problem which was checked on immediately.
All in all it was nothing less than perfect and the whole group would go back in a second!!

Promise Tree was a wonderful property for our family get away. We were 4 families, 2 with infants, 1 family with kids under 9 and we needed spaces to accommodate the little ones. We found the description online didn’t describe the room set up as accurately as we thought and once we sorted all that out with the use of the extra cottage it worked out perfectly for us! We rarely used the kitchen to eat because the lanai is absolutely beautiful and very functional. We never sat inside even when it was raining out. The bbq and flat top grill were very well used and very functional. The pool was a highlight for the kids young and old and there was quite an assortment of pool toys available for our use. We really appreciated having the use of baby equipment: booster seat, play pen, beach tent etc and having a variety of beach items available: chairs, mats, toys, towels! If we ever head back this way with the family we would absolutely look at this property again, it’s perfect for a family get away!

Amazing Promise Tree! We loved this beautiful property! It accommodated our family of 16 , ages from 18 mos to 73 years old perfectly. We did rent the extra cottage to accomodate all. The pool was fantastic for the kids and is located so we could keep an eye on them easily. Plenty of lawn space for kids to play. We really didn't use all of it; just enjoyed all the green. Each party had their own entrance and own bathroom. It really afforded some privacy for each of us. Nice views of the ocean too. Owner, Esther, was very accommodating and addressed any questions or needs that we had. Overall, a very special place. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Lovely Promise Tree, lovely Hawaii!

The stay was amazing. Fantastic location very central to anything you’d want to do from one end of the island to the other. Esther was wonderful walked us thru the space and very responsive to any questions we had. The place felt very comfortable and was well appointed with anything we needed. The Promise Tree was a wonderful, peaceful place to stay with plenty of room for our family to spread out! We had the rehearsal dinner for our daughter’s wedding there and it was a gorgeous location with the ocean and sunset in the background! We would highly recommend staying at the Promise Tree!

The Promise Tree is a beautiful property in a wonderful location. On a hill so you get the breezes and overlooking the ocean on the west side of the island for gorgeous sunsets. Our family of 12 had a wonderful time exploring the island from this location. Esther was a great hostess, there when you needed her to solve minor issues. Accommodating when we asked for a late checkout and to rent the additional cottage. If you are looking for open-air living, this is the place. My kids were not sure they would like it. We live in hot, humid Pennsylvania where summer days mean closed windows and air conditioning. Having been to Hawaii before, this was just what I was looking for and by the end of the week, they all agreed. Everything is well cared for and almost everything you could need is available including things for the beach. There are enough places to spread out when some more private time is needed but also a large outdoor living area which we thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend a stay at the Promise Tree.
