L’espace pour une famille

Un peu bruyant le soir

Beautiful apartment in Bairro Alto. Great location, we were able to walk to most places or close enough to baixa-chiado metro for any journey further afield. Bairro Alto is a very vibrant area and there’s a party vibe in the evening which we enjoyed. The apartment doesn’t have air con so was hot when we first arrived but there are windows on both sides so it was easy to get a through breeze. The fans were enough to keep us cool through the night when windows were closed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A couple of very minor maintenance issues that could be easily sorted. Leaky kettle and dishwasher door that won’t stay open. Neither issue stopped us from enjoying our stay.

Spacious, clean, good location, quiet, issue with the hot water but was resolved quickly as the staff were very quick to respond to my issue.

No air con but other guests had left fans behind them which were brilliant & needed.

The location, and the apartment layout is great for a group.

The apartment seemed clean at a glance but the more time we spent in it, the more we were disappointed by certain details: Dirty bathroom blinds, giant hole in one of the waste baskets, spots on the cushion cases... The apartment didn't have paper towels, salt and pepper, cooking oil or coffee for the coffee machine. Some of the windows in this apartment are pretty much face to face with the neighbours so I kept my blinds down for the most part. You can also hear the sounds from the crowds on the street at night. I could sleep through it but I thought I'd mention this for noise sensitive guests. I had a pest issue in my room that the host responded to in a sufficient manner. We had to pick up and drop off our keys at a hostel that was about an 8 minute walk away. This is annoying if you have your suitcase and have to drag it up hill, too. I wish this bit of information would've been communicated to me when I booked the apartment. I would only stay at this place again if they took apartment maintenance and cleaning seriously. And if the hosts took care to ensure there are as few undesirable surprises as possible.
