Extended Stay America Suites - Colonial Heights - Fort Lee

Breakfast was okay. Bare bones. Oatmeal; yogurt; some fruit; no eggs or breakfast meats. Beds were comfortable. Room was a little too clean. Like, they bleached the crap outta everything. The smell was a little unsettling at first. I guess we never stayed at a kitchenette suite like this and I'm not sure if it is standard for other companies, but we loved that they had a kitchen/plate kit that we didn't know about before hand. I was asking for spare paper plates, and they offered this kit instead, that came with 2 dinner plates, 2 dessert plates, 2 bowls, flatware and dish soap. It was conveniently assembled in a little plastic bin. Very cute!

The strong smell of bleach. Also, the folks upstairs seemed to have very heavy feet. They were stomping a few times throughout the night.

I like that the room comes with a mini kitchenette and that you can request for complimentary utensils should you require them. The room, sheets and towels are clean. The staff were also friendly and welcoming. Functional washer/dryer units is also a plus.

The breakfast bar serves limited items like muffins, muesli bars and yogurt along with coffee, no hot items. Would be good if hair dryer could be provided as well.

Clean , close to everything I needed

Breakfast was instant oatmeal packets, bowls not even available, microwave was dirty. My room had recent work done , drywall patches not painted. Room was clean but not comfortable, very sterile feeling

Staff was nice.

Room wasn’t as clean as expected. Look like coffee was on window curtains.
