Moss Cottage

Breakfast very good.

TV remote did not work but this did not bother me.

I received a warm and friendly welcome from the host, Bill. He helped me with my suitcase up the stairs to Room 1. The room itself was tidy, clean, well-presented. The en-suite bathroom was spacious, with clean towels and a well-maintained shower cubicle. Wardrobe is large enough to hold a week's worth of clothing and then some. There was an extra blanket in the wardrobe if needed, but I did not have to use it. For those who require hairdryer, it came with the room - I feel that this is a key point for most of us ladies. Kettle in the room to make hot drinks if needed, with a couple of bottles of water provided as well. Wi-fi was also available with the information provided on a slip on the bedside table. Bill prepared amazing breakfast every morning. Yoghurt and bread were homemade, which were both really delicious and wholesome. Bill's partner also made award-winning marmalade and jam - a must try! The location is on a main road with easy access. Just beware of the morning traffic. The venue I needed to attend the event at was 10 minutes away, but with traffic, it turned into a 20-minute drive.

I wouldn't say this was a dislike, just a personal preference - I prefer a firmer mattress to a slightly softer one provided at Moss Cottage.

Lovely hosts, made us very welcome on arrival with refreshments and local sights to see. also helped with a query we had. Very clean and would return again if the downstairs room is available to book (need to avoid stairs where possible).

The shower was not working correctly but our host did immediately look into the problem.

Location was first class, easy to walk into town. Breakfast was exceptional. Room was very clean and complimentary tea and coffee very welcome.
