Staff are super super friendly and will help you with anything you ask for. They make you feel really welcome. The pool area with bar is great. It's a beautiful location and very calm area, so nice to walk among the ricefields to the beach for surfing. They also have scooters for renting at a good price.

Cleanliness in the rooms could be a bit better

The scenery is beyond incredible. It's so quiet here too so you can get a good night sleep. So lovely to be in the rooftop pool during sunset, having a cocktail and relaxing. The staff here are super friendly. And it's just a 5 minute walk from the beach where there are lots of small local places to eat! I also really loved the food here at Swell. There was quite a wide selection on the menu, and it was a normal price for any "restaurant" style venue. I will definitely stay here again.

The room didn't feel as clean as what it could have. When I arrived it smelled somewhat stale. I understand they use the moth balls in wet areas to keep bugs out but it smelt very chemically. Also, I was only provided with 1 towel, and even though I was provided with tea and coffee, there was no kettle in my room so couldn't utilise the facilities. Also, the pool table isn't in great shape and there is only 1 questions that you can use, and even that one is in poor shape.

everything was super clean, the staff was so chill and helpful, the food at the bar really tasty and prices were good, location is also good

keep in mind that if you come there by taxi it might get hard to get a taxi back as it's pretty remote

Beautiful views from the terrace bar and lovely infinity pool. Rooms are clean and comfortable with nice views over rice fields on both sides. Staff are super friendly and willing to help with anything but also very relaxed. Food is very good too. Near the sea with a nice place to sit and watch the sunsets

The Swell hotel my favorite place in Kedungu. Wonderful pool, friendly staff, fantastic food,magic place. Very clean rooms! I like everything here! I will comeback soon😍 P. S. Sunday lunch absolutely amazing even. Recommend!

Great pool overlooking the ocean in the distance, with paddy fields between. Good bar and good prices. Really pretty area. 5 minute bike ride to Joshua District, a super cool restaurant/workspace/cafe/artspace. Beaches nearby, 5 minute bike ride to Tanah Lot. Good mattress. Not lots of light pollution out there so stars in night sky was incredible, viewed from the pool area. This is more of a party hostel - if that's your vibe, it'll work for you.

I assume they were short-staffed due to Coronavirus, but they weren't ready for me when I arrived so had to wait quite a spell for my room, and in the mornings, there was no staff available around 9 am for me to connect with on a possible extension of a second night. I think when it's not the time of COVID-19, they might be more staffed up, so this wouldn't be an issue. Note that it's hard to get Go-Jek or Grab in this area, and there are limited food options nearby, so make sure to have a bike at your disposal.
