My family of 4, my parents & my sister’s family of 4 stayed at this property. It was great. Really nice & comfortable & clean with plenty of indoor & outdoor space. It would be nice if the upstairs (where all of the bedrooms are) had AC, but we all loved it nonetheless. We brought a window fan. Great location. Minutes from Southwest Harbor, which is a cute little town. About 17 min from Bar Harbor & a ton of trails & carriage paths. It’s a little less than 30 min from Sand Beach. It worked for us. Erica, the owner, responded within minutes the couple of times I messaged her. Would definitely rent this property again! 6 adults & 3 kids & a baby fit perfectly.

We rented this house and the sister property at 7 Grant Hill Road for a family reunion. Everyone appreciated the quiet location and easy access to the Western parts of the island. The home was lovely with comfortable sleeping and gathering areas. The large deck was a perfect gathering area for the whole family to enjoy. We had a wonderful time, and appreciated the homes and easy communication with Erica.

This property exceeded our expectations for our first VRBO experience. It was a great surprise for my mother's birthday and the property was perfect. The location of the house was close to everything that we wanted to experience while in Maine. We would highly recommend this property. Kim & Erich

Due to the Covid situation we decided to have a small Thanksgiving with just our son, daughter in law, grandchild and two lifelong friends. We had a wonderful time and the house was perfect. Each bedroom had its own temperature control which is excellent. Our grandchild needed her room to be warm, while my husband and I like our room to be really cold when sleeping. All the appliances worked and we made a wonderful meal. The view, especially in winter when you can see the sound is beautiful. We loved it and would return.

The openness of the first floor made being together as a family fun whether cooking, playing games or watching a movie. The bedrooms were comfy and spacious and accommodated all family members. The deck was perfect for looking at Cadillac Mt and cooking fresh lobster. The proximity to Acadia was perfect. We would highly recommend this home to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. The property owner was easy to communicate with. The house was spacious and clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with necessary small appliances, utensils, dishes, etc. The bathrooms were stocked as well. Overall we loved our stay and would stay again. One thing I would say negative is that there’s no cool air system upstairs. I’m sure most months this isn’t a problem, but it made things a bit difficult for us. Heat rises into the upstairs bedrooms, even with windows open during the cool hours. The other rooms cooled a bit during the night with open windows, but the room with the twin beds really keeps that heat in unfortunately. Our young kids were so hot during the night and no efforts to cool it down helped on one particular night when the temps didn’t drop much. Otherwise great home and would totally recommend!!

We had a great time at the rental, besides it being like new with many amemitiee, clean, and convenient, the kids loved the yard and fire pit! The location is great for seeing the whole island and central to everything we wamyre to see. Our kids didn't want to go back home because they wanted to stay at the house. Thanks to the owners for a great 4 day family getaway!

The property itself was very nice and clean. It comfortably fit the 10 people in my party. However, the property owner is out to scam people, so renters beware. Not only were we rushed out the door at 9am on the day of checkout by the cleaning crew, but later that day, I received several harassing texts from the property owner regarding her dining room table and bench, which she claimed we had scratched. I received several pictures from her of the zoomed in scratches and a note requesting that I replace her entire dining room set due to the damage. I was taken aback by the request, since it seemed far fetched, especially for something that I would consider normal wear and tear given the nature of the business she is in. I knew that we couldn't have caused those scratches as we hardly sat at the table and mostly ate on the go or on the kitchen island. My party and I had been very careful not to break or damage any items of hers as we were very impressed by the condition her house was in. Also, I take pictures of the conditions of rental properties before and after my stay and I would have noticed the scatches had they been there before checkout. I asked her to send me a zoomed out picture of the table and bench pointing to the spot of the scratches. She replied that she had people in the house now and would send me the requested pictures in a week after they had checked out. I never received the pictures. Save yourself the headache and rent somewhere else, not worth the scam.

Had a great stay; the house is clean and has what you need! Great location with awesome access to Acadia and everything you would like to do/see. Great for families with multiple bedrooms.

The house is within minutes of some fantastic local hikes (Acadia Mt) and within 20 minutes to Bar Harbor, Cadillac Mountain and more. There is also a lovely town (Southwest Harbor) with several restaurants and shops within a few minutes of the home and a market for all of our grocery needs. The house itself boasts a beautiful mountain view from an expansive deck and had all the conveniences you would want at a rental. The beds were comfortable (we were a party of 10) and plenty of room for group dining and lounging in the living room. There were many "extras" waiting for us - games, lobster pot, extra firewood, plenty of plush towels, dual coffee pot/kuerig style and Roku TVs. The host was incredibly responsive and check-in/out was a breeze. Beautiful and peaceful setting to relax after a day of hiking and sight seeing. I highly recommend this brand new home which suited our family perfectly! We will be back.

We enjoyed staying at the Hall Quarry house. Its conveniently located to Bar Harbor as well as other smaller towns like East Harbor. We loved open space leaving area downstairs as well as upstairs bedrooms. Very well equipped kitchen! Thank you Erica for being easily accessible and very responsive. The house has two pairs of sliding doors going out to a big deck that you can enjoy all day. We were able to use fire pit in front of the house. The house offers everything and more. We enjoyed so much we didn’t want to go home.
