The location was fantastic! Everything we needed was within walking distance of the cottage
The pub was a little noisy but we were aware of this when reading other reviews. It wouldn’t put us off booking again to stay at Thornton

We loved the flat and the location in the village for exploring on foot (conveniently across from the Old Silk Mill and around the corner from shops and pubs). We found the property comfortable, spotless, well equipped, and amazingly quiet for being right on the street. We finished our south-north Cotswold Way walk in Chipping Campden, and the flat is very easy to access from the CW on foot.
We found the directions to the key box and back entrance a touch unclear but we figured it out. Also might be helpful to include any pointers about the washer in the house directions guide -- we ended up buying our own washing soap because we couldn't find any. Overall, these were just tiny things, and it was a great stay.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Thorntons. The property was clean, comfortable, well appointed and very well equipped, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It was also tastefully decorated and nicely presented throughout, which gave it a welcoming and homely feel. The location was excellent too – very convenient for Chipping Campden itself and a great base for exploring the surrounding area. Overall, it was a very pleasant place to stay and somewhere we were happy to return to at the end of each day.
Only a few relatively minor niggles. The fridge had no shelf, which meant we had to lay a bottle of milk on its side and unfortunately it leaked. The toilet cistern took an exceptionally long time to refill after flushing, which was a little frustrating. The internet connection was also quite slow, making it difficult at times to stream or watch TV reliably. None of these significantly spoiled our stay, but they are small things that would be worth addressing.
