Gästehaus Moßhammer

A charming small property in an excellent location, just east of the historic city centre and well connected by several bus and tram lines to the railway station and the centre itself. The hotel has only a handful of rooms and is situated above an outstanding butcher’s shop. The quality of its products is reflected at breakfast, where excellent cheeses and cold cuts are served alongside fresh yoghurt, a variety of homemade-style jams and good bread. It makes for a particularly enjoyable and substantial breakfast. The rooms are modern, spotless and thoughtfully equipped. My room also had a balcony overlooking a pleasant little courtyard, which added a lovely touch of tranquillity. All the amenities were of a high standard, including the hand soap, which had an exceptionally rich and pleasant fragrance. Overall, an excellent choice for a peaceful and reasonably priced stay within easy walking distance of the historic centre. The location is particularly convenient for those who enjoy eating out, with numerous restaurants and cafés nearby thanks to the university located directly below the property. A small, characterful place that offers both convenience and a genuine local atmosphere.

Some noise from the courtyard early in the morning.

Position despite is not in the city centre is very close to it on feet and in nice area. Possibility to park (paid service) close to hotel. Breakfast good

Breakfast served till 9 only was a bit tight timing

A good selection at breakfast, a clean room and accommodating staff.

The mattress was too soft. Was missing a bedside shelf.

Good location, lovely neighbourhood. Nice garden view from the room. Tasty breakfast.

The room and the bathroom were not very clean. It was quite dusty and a lot of limescale in the shower. Even though I booked the parking place well in advance, it was occupied upon arrival and only available several hours later. Moreover, the full price was charged. Very uncomfortable bed and pillow.
