Big kitchen, three proper bedrooms, fantastic bath which was very well used. Separate shower-room. All top spec fittings. Can't write highly enough about this apartment. Strong recommend.

We had an amazing stay here! The house is wonderful and whilst it has all mod cons, it also retains its period festures. The house was warm, check in was easy and the host had great communication. Easy walking distance through The Meadows to the town centre and shops just round the corner. It was nice to have a little back garden and 2 bathrooms! We would definitely stay here again.

Our family of two children and two adults had the best time at Meadows Sanctuary. The beds were comfy, the architecture was beautiful and we had everything we needed from the kitchen to the stacks of toys and games. We would definitely stay here again!

This was a lovely place to stay, in a quiet area. The home was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The neighborhood was quiet, and safe. We enjoyed the approximate mile walk to the royal mile through a lovely park and, felt safe throught the walk. We would highly recommend this home.

Having stayed at various houses for the Fringe over several years, this was definitely the best - great location, great facilities, hassle-free check in and communication generally and it was great to have a garden (and the weather to use it!). Cannot recommend highly enough.

This home is comfortable, clean, convenient and cozy! Check in and check out were seamless. Communication with Jane was easy by text. It has a lovely garden where we had coffee each morning. The kitchen is very modern and washer/dryer were handy. The flowers by the front door welcomed you into the home. We would highly recommend this property!

Wonderfully appointed and detailed rental in a quiet but accessible location. Convenient walk to all popular sites but quiet at night. Neighborhood co-op for food etc within easy walking distance. We didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend

This property far exceeded our expectations. So completely charming and comfortable with the addition of updated modern kitchen and bathrooms. High ceilings, crown moldings, small garden just chefs kiss lovely😘 great neighbourhood . Safe. Wonderful coffee shops just steps away and well within walking distance through the meadows to the Royal Mile. Easily the most quaint VRBO we’ve stayed at in Europe.

This property is amazing. It is so well organized. Everything is detailed. The property is more spacious than appears. We had 6 adults stay. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious. The outside area is so nice to sit in and chill out after a day of touring. The kitchen is beautiful. Everything is close and walkable. We enjoyed our stay immensely. I will rebook this place in a heartbeat!

My partner, mom and her partner, and brother all stayed in this place at the end of May for the beginning of our three week vacation in Scotland. All of us agreed this was the nicest place we stayed for the whole trip! A hidden gem. Everything was very clean with up to date appliances. You can tell the owner has put some effort in making sure this was a nice place to stay. Beds were comfortable and the 5 of house had ample room. The garden was a very nice feature at the end of a long day walking around Edinburgh. The location is perfect, a quick 20 minute walk gets you right to the gates of Edinburgh castle and the Royal Mile. Will definitely look to stay here again if we wind up in Edinburgh!

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment, wonderfully appointed, very comfortable. It is right by the park, a short and pretty walk to Old Town. Jane was the kindest of hosts, patient, helpful and responsive.

We had to limit our stay in Edinburgh to two nights but the apartment was so cozy and comfortable that it was hard to leave. The decor is lovely and warm. Kitchen was amazing. Well-stocked. After two weeks of travel, and using some incredibly small and uncomfortable bathrooms, the shower here was a real treat. The bathrooms are large and well-planned. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water.
The apartment is in a very nice residential area and only a block away from a beautiful and lively park. It was a short and pleasant walk into town.
Wish we could have stayed longer!

Everything was great, location was very good. Just a short walk through the park and you are in the middle of everything. Around the corner there is a co-op, pub, excellent breakfast place that made the ultimate chicken and waffles! This property was exactly like the pictures, very clean and comfortable, amazing kitchen.

Everything about this home is perfection. It is well-appointed, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and quite lovely. The backyard was a very nice surprise. It was only a few blocks to the bus and other shops. Our contact, Jane, was very responsive to any question we had.
This property set a very high bar for the rest of our travels. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Reservation process was seamless. Property is beautiful, clean, well stocked and so comfortable! Neighborhood can’t be beat, especially if you like delicious coffee walking the green space of the Meadows.

My absolute favorite was the beautiful view of the gardens from the master bedroom. Wonderful communication from owner/manager. Good for people who like to walk- we walked everywhere and took a cab a couple of times for places like the zoo and new town. Grocery w/in walking distance. Many places to order takeaway from. Washer dryer fridge all seemed new. Good place for family w twin teenage sons to spread out. Only suggested changes - stronger Wi-Fi and there is a slight musty smell from non renovated parts of flat but leaving the windows open part of the day helped. Would stay here again in a minute!! The flat was very well-appointed (particularly the kitchen, which had all the utensils anyone could need), and we had a very pleasant stay in Marchmont. The owner was very amenable, and there was a nicely upkept private space to sit outside when it wasn't raining. Good apartment if you don't have a car (as parking is difficult), but a car really isn't required anyway, as all local amenities are so close. Would stay again!
