Because it was winter there was noone around and so the en tire area was quiet and peaceful !! All you hear are the ocean waves ! The kithen is thoroughly appointed & we''made some greatmeals !!! Bed was comfy too !!!!

If you’re looking to stay right by the beach, this place is excellent. Location was perfect, less than a block from the water, and the house was exactly what we had envisioned. Owners were very helpful and very responsive. I highly recommend!

We LOVED our stay! This beautiful home is nestled in a cute seaside neighborhood steps from the beach. Gorgeous sunrises! And close enough to restaurants in both Rehoboth and Bethany beaches. Enjoy a large kitchen and primary bedroom suite. The screened in porch provided another lounging place to hear the waves.

This is a cute beach cottage just steps from the path to the beach with a nice screened porch and backyard ideal for kids and pets. It's a short drive to many restaurants in Lewes and Rehoboth as well as to John Waples playground. The arrival information sent information was not entirely current (unfortunately the nearby local market is no longer open.) We've stayed at countless vacation rentals and never have had to make up the beds ourselves (versus stripping beds when leaving, which we always do). Beds already made is preferable as we arrived with children then had to put sheets on all the beds ourselves. We realized an hour after checking out that we'd left something of our daughter's in the fridge and contacted the owners to inquire how we could retrieve it, they initially responded they'd check with the cleaners then never followed up, which was disappointing.

Nice property. Quiet neighborhood. No problems. Few steps to the path that leads to the ocean. Dog friendly. W/d came in handy. We enjoyed our stay. Owners reply immediately to any concerns and questions. Tv's in every room, too. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.

The location of A's by the Beach is perfect. It is just steps to the beach with a wonderful matted pathway thru the brush which opens to a beautiful beach area. We had our dogs and my granddaughter with us and the home was very comfortable for hanging out and playing games. The porch and backyard are super. The yard is just big enough and nicely enclosed. Also plenty of parking at the house! Thank you!! We'll be back :)

Excellent location! We were able to enjoy the sunrise/sunset at the beach, and campfire at the beach because of the proximity to the beach. We were there during Labor day weekend therefore it was super expensive. My only complaint was that the owner did not provide blankets and sheets. We had to carry our sheets, blankets, and beach towels (which was somewhat inconvenient). Other than that, the property was small but good for 2 small families.

Location of the property was amazing. Just a few houses from the beach. Rehoboth and Dewey shops and restaurants are all within about a mile. The host was very responsive, and everything went smoothly.

We loved being so close to the beach! It was very clean. Having the outdoor shower and separate laundry room kept the cottage cool. We walked every day into Rehoboth or Dewey to eat at restaurants. There was a daily trip to Fifer’s. Best little grocery ever!

The “blue” house was a great home for our week at the beach. It was the perfect location for our young family as it made beach days really convenient. No need to worry if we forgot anything or had to head back for nap time. Our young sons loved the bunk bed room! The screened in porch was an added bonus room for playtime and relaxing. We loved the private outdoor shower and having a washer and dryer on site. The beds were all very comfortable as well. We could easily head out and walk to Downtown Dewey in minutes. The Jolly Trolley also picks up around the corner making trips into Rehoboth super easy as well. Plenty of room for parking at the house too. The only down side was a lack in storage space for extra food as there was no pantry. An oversight on our end was that we forgot to pack bed linens! However we notified the owners and they very quickly got us in touch with a local rental company who accommodated us within an hour! Overall we loved our stay! Would highly recommend.

The house was comfortable, spacious, and an extremely close walk to the beach. Thomas was readily available when we needed to contact him about something. Our family had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again!

This house is great for 2 couples with some kids -- the bunk room even has a TV if the adults and kids can't agree on what to watch on TV. But you really shouldn't spend much time watching TV. The beach is just a couple houses down, and if you like meeting dogs, you'll definitely get your chance to meet some dogs. Due to the layout of the streets in this neighborhood, it's not a high-traffic area, so the walk over to the beach is easy and leisurely with kids and dogs. Have a dog? There's room for a dog crate in the living room. Plan to cook in instead of eating out? The kitchen can handle several cooks, and there's a gas grill in the back yard. There's enough hardware in the kitchen to get you by, so overall, it's great space to feed the family. There is a large covered screened-in patio that is perfect for a breezy day. Rehoboth is a mile away without having to hit Costal Highway, and Dewey is also essentially "right there" as you decide the style of day you want to have. It's a great location. Our family plans on looking at this location first the next time we book the Dewey Beach area.

Steps from the ocean!! We had a great time staying here, there was plenty of room to spread out while we worked on some crafts. The best part is being steps from the ocean, took a walk to the beach each day. Also very close to restaurants, but a very quiet neighborhood.

Property is as advertised. Looks just like the pictures in VRBO. Place smelled freshly cleaned when we walked in. Nice back yard. TVs in every room. Easy and close walk to the beach. About 50 feet to the access to the beach. No streets to cross. Thomas was very helpful with me through the process and great host. Nice place to stay.

We stayed in January when it was 20 degrees! Still had a fabulius time. Had a small snaffu with getting the door lock link but Robert and Kelly were extremely responsive (even though they were out of the country). Great kitchen. Showers had hot water forever. Want to stay again when it's maybe a little warmer....even in 20 degrees we took the 30 second walk to the beach.

There is now a statement on the listing that "There are 3 cameras located on the outside of the home for the safety of our guests. One on the front porch looking at the front door and one on the back porch looking at the backyard and one monitoring the driveway. Those are used for security purpose only. Any recording is automatically deleted after 30 days." When we made the reservation, this statement was not there or we would not have stayed at this house. The camera on the front porch that they say is pointed at the front door appears to be positioned so that it records some or all of the screened in porch area. The homeowners claim they don't monitor it, but within minutes of the time we put a towel over the camera, they told us to remove it. They claim this is because of "liabilty," which is nonsense. They claim putting a towel over the camera makes it trigger every minute or so. This is nonsense. Why don't they just turn it off? Same problem with camera pointing at back yard. Do you really want someone monitoring/videoing you whenever you're in the yard? They claim they don't view these videos and then delete them after 30 days, but that's not good enough for me. When we're on vacation, there is no reason to agree that someone can record us, regardless of what they do with the recordings.The house has lots of other minor issues. The listing claims there is an icemaker. There is not. When we got there, the dishwasher was running, but there was no dishwasher detergent, so are we to believe they just happened to use the last of it? Bottles of laundry detergent were all empty. Carpeting in screened in porch should be replaced. But we could have lived with those types of minor issues, especially as the house has a good location, steps from a very nice beach. But having strangers taking video recordings of us while we're on vacation just because they promise not to look at them is unacceptable.
