Urban Heights Bogota

For the purposes of my stay the hotel was perfect. I live near the hotel but my building was without water for three days. The hotel is very reasonably priced and in an excellent location for my needs - and probably for travelers who want to explore Bogota as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was immaculately clean and comfortable. The wifi worked very well. The shower was great. It was just what I needed considering the circumstances. For what I needed and for travelers on a modest budget, it is great value.

I didn't mind any of this because I do live nearby and didn't need any of it for my stay. But if you are a traveler who wants a hotel with facilities such as a cafe or bar, pool, public work area, etc. to use at the hotel, it probably isn't the place for you. It doesn't serve breakfast, for instance, although there are numerous excellent places to have breakfast within a 10 minute or less walk of the hotel. It is a few blocks up a somewhat steep hill if you are walking or taking public transportation, and at Bogota's altitude that might be a problem for some travelers. But these weren't things that bothered me, just things you should be aware of.

The bed was amazing, simply perfect. Despite being next to the main road, the shades and curtains plus the window reduce the noise very well. Great water pressure, nice touch with the glass wall shower with curtains to cover it. Quite safe, I am going to book them again

There was no fridge, I was expecting one. No microwave either, I didn't ask if they had a common area with those items though

Unica nota negativa è il bagno, o meglio la porta del bagno. Non c’è privacy, le porte sono di vetro (quindi chi c’è in camera potrebbe vedere e sentire) e c’è sono una tenda che “separa”. Veramente brutto e antipatica questa cosa.

The room was comfortable overall, and the bed, although a bit hard,was fine. However, the main issue was the lack of proper ventilation. The only window faced the street, and it was extremely noisy outside. Since Bogotá is quite cold at night (around 7°C), leaving the window open wasn’t an option. The alternative was to leave the door open, but I didn’t feel secure doing so. As a result, the room never had a comfortable temperature: it was either too cold or too stuffy. On arrival, the room also had a very unpleasant smell, similar to a student dorm, which was difficult to bear. Additionally, neither the door nor the window had meshes, so whenever I left the door open to get fresh air, I had to deal with mosquitos, plus the room quickly became cold. I had a basement room, and unfortunateoly you can could hear all the plumbing stories...whethe it was a shower of a w/c business
