Lariat Cabin was conveniently located for all the activities we enjoyed-- visiting Mt. Rushmore, Needles Highway, Bear Country, Custer State Park, and more. The cabin was in a beautiful setting, and had all the amenities we wanted, and exceeded our expectations. Our family loved our time in the Black Hills! Thank you! We didn't have any problems. I didn't talk with anyone directly, but texting and email were prompt.

This house is in a great location which enabled us to see Crazy Horse, Mt Rushmore, Wall's Drugstore and The Badlands. The window air conditioners were very loud and not very efficient in the August heat. Full window coverings on the east and west would help this problem. Otherwise a wonderful experience! Thank you for sharing your home with our family of 4 adults.

Very nice house..we enjoyed our stay..it was located very close to all the attractions in south Dakota..hot tub was very relaxing..my only complaint is that the dryer was extremely slow at drying cloths and the washer didn't put enough water in the washer for a large load of cloths..I understand we want to save on water and electricity..but what's the point if u have to turn the dryer on twice as long and u have more loads to wash in the washer..

A nice feature was the code to get into the cabin upon check-in.
A nice feature was the code to get into the cabin upon check-in. We had no trouble getting in and using the code our entire stay. ("contactless check-in and check-out"). The Lariat Cabin was perfect for our two families vacationing together. We each had our own space. It was nice to be able to cook our own meals. The location was ideal to all the things we wanted to see! I emailed with Lee Ann and she was very responsive to the few questions I had. We also called when we got to the cabin as we had a question on the hot tub, and they were very helpful.

Awesome spot!
The cabin was a perfect size. We had 4 adults and 4 kids. It was comfortable, cozy and clean! The porch was great and relaxing in the hot tub made it even better! We would definitely come back!

We travel with a sound machine so not a problem. Had deer in the yard each night and geese in the small creek nearby. My husband had great success fishing nearby Sheridan Lake and Pactola Reservoir which were just minutes down the road from the cabin. Well appointed kitchen for making dinners at home.

Nice, clean home and amazing central location to visit Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, etc. It was so easy to get anywhere we wanted in the Hills from here and loved being close to Hill City restaurants and Prairie Berry winery. Rushmore Vacation Rentals was easy to work with and their property was just as pictured!

House was clean and well stocked. Nice view of mountains. Not an isolated view as there is the highway and gas station in viewing distance but overall great place to stay for our 3 day excursion to area sites.

It was a wonderful stay. I had made the arrangements for my family and all of them were very favorably impressed. This was a lovely place to stay and the house was so clean. It was conveniently located to many things, yet had a nice out in the country feel to it. My contact was via email and messages, but the responses were prompt and courteous.

Great location for Black Hills excursions
House was clean and well stocked. Nice view of mountains. Not an isolated view as there is the highway and gas station in viewing distance but overall great place to stay for our 3 day excursion to area sites.

We had a wonderful stay here during our vacation in the Black Hills. We brought our UTVs along and there was ample parking and we were close enough to everything that we never had to trailer our UTVs. The property was well stocked and fit our 4 adults and 3 kids very comfortably! It was a very nice place and we really enjoyed our stay!

Nice property
We had a wonderful stay here during our vacation in the Black Hills. We brought our UTVs along and there was ample parking and we were close enough to everything that we never had to trailer our UTVs. The property was well stocked and fit our 4 adults and 3 kids very comfortably! It was a very nice place and we really enjoyed our stay!

Absolutely loved this cabin.
Absolutely loved this cabin. Would recommend to anyone who is wanting to do tact trails, and all the parks and monuments. Never really talked with anyone.

My family was already asking g when we could go back, before we even left! The cabin was everything we could ask for. Clean, beautiful, comforting, and in an ideal location for the attractions. Such a beautiful view with a cozy home. I didn't talk to anyone directly. The online process worked so well that no additional info was needed.

over all we were pleased with the property. Just a couple of things....one, the difficulty of using the fireplace..we understood it had to be a certain temp in the cabin for it to work..that was not the case for us...so were unable to use it... two, the bed in the upstairs room at the end of the hallway as you came up the stairs had an extremely hard mattress that no one could sleep on... thus the couch and loveseat were comfortable.....otherwise, we loved the facility and how well it was managed. thank you!

This was our third stay at the Lariat. Our party had 6 men ranging from 14 to 70. The Lariat has a very rustic cabin feel, but with all the modern day amenities one can hope for. The third half-bath is a very nice additional benefit. Internet in the area is available only through satellite, so bandwidth is limited. However we considered that a benefit as it kept the younger members off their phones most of the day. Overall, another great stay and we hope to return again at some point in the future.

One guest had mobility problems and the ground floor bedroom was essential. However, the shower in that bedroom is not a walk-in style. The upstairs shower is walk-in, but a handicap guest cannot climb the stairs to use it.

Centrally located.
Pros: Good location. House is as advertised and very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub which was also very clean and clearly well cared for. A huge plus for us. Quiet neighborhood. Nice kitchen. Enjoyed the grill. Plenty of kitchen utensils/pots etc
Cons: as it often is here in the Hills, the WiFi didn’t work more than it did. They could really use a booster or something. A little road noise But the neighborhood itself is quiet
Overall enjoyed the house!

Amazing Cabin in the Heart of the Hills
The cabin was well stocked, centrally located, and had a lot to do in the area. The views were spectacular and that hot tub 👌

Lariat cabin
The location is great for venturing out into Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore, and more. We had plenty of room for 6 adults and 4 kids ranging in age from 13 to 1. The cabin was very clean and had plenty of accommodations. We would rent again!

Excellent stay but not in the woods. .
Property was clean and beds were comfortable. Surprised us that it wasn’t “in the woods” like picture portrayed. Half of the jets of the hot tub weren’t working. Enjoyed it anyway, loved the covered front deck. Would return again.

Motorcycling after the Rally
Second time we've stayed in this house. It's a great central location for The Hills. Worked out great for our motorcycle trailers with the circle driveway. Pretty quiet location. Near by streets allowed us to get in a 2 mile walk in the mornings before departing on the motorcycles.

Great location for Sturgis week.
We thought the kitchen could have been cleaned better. We left it cleaner than when we arrived. The front porch was a great spot to sit and talk after a day on the bikes. We all had a awesome time and would stay here again.

This was for 8 adults for Sturgis bike Rally!! Amazing location and perfect place! Comfortable beds and relaxing hot tub!! Great communication with the person in charge. All 8 of us, we HIGHLY recommend!!

Excellent location for Black Hills activities.
The property was very clean. The cabin was well-stocked with kitchen items. The hot tub was very clean and the adult children enjoyed relaxing in it after a day in the BlackHills. Will definitely be back.
